Anyone bring their own chairs to the pool hall?

They are fold out chairs (camping chairs). I don't mean to bring in actual big ass chairs. LOL
The pool bags with the legs like a golf bag are bad enough in pool rooms and bars. We had one guy at league that had one of those cases, it takes up a lot of space with the legs out and in a dimly lit room the cues were extremely hard to see, it was very easy to walk right into them, especially when he put his case in a handy spot for him.

I know I'm going to get a lot of heat for this but here goes. I guess I'm influenced by the league players bringing their camping chairs and there are quite a few of nice ones. I've had a few during my college days camping and they were lightweight and portable. I no longer camp as much as I would like so I gave away me camping gear.

I've narrowed it down to a director's chair style that sits up high. It's easy to get in and out of. I don't mind a more comfortable regular height chair to stretch out my legs. The directors chair you can't really lean back and stretch your legs out like anormal chair.

So my question is, if you do bring your own chair, any recommendations? Here's a generic director's chair but on the heavy side. The grey is a YETI Base Camp.

John Barton might make you a nice case for it.

I go to shoot pool not sit around. I no longer do leagues but I practice 18+ hours a week and during a 5+ hour session I never sit down ( or lean against a table - a pet peeve of mine) until I’ve finished ( then I’ll sit at the bar to relax) there are plenty of chairs available & I move them away.
Maybe that’s why I’m in better shape at 74 years old than most other overweight people I see?

For us older guys with knee issues, the higher sitting chairs are a must! The biggest issue as a room owner with players who might bring their own chairs is whether there is room to place the chair near their table but in a location that will be out of the way of that table as well as other nearby tables.

I have not.

I have brought my own BEERS!

Chris’s in Chicago allows customers to bring their own beer in because they do not have a liquor license. At least when I used to live there.
I made a trip to Lubbock once and that was the first time I saw BYOB in the pool room.

Lotta people sitting on coolers and thus the thread circle hath looped.

Crowding is definitely an issue.

I need a low one so my legs don't hang so I can stretch my legs and straighten them out. Those damn bar stools are a killer.

At first I thought the idea of bringing your chair was ridiculous, then I spent 2 hours sitting on a metal chair waiting to play a league match. Now it looks like a pretty sensible idea.

It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that ping.

I swear that half of the reason I do badly at local tournaments is sitting on the shit chairs or stools. They are really bad and after sitting 45 min to an hour my game goes to crap. I have a ton of back problems and sitting in poor chairs tanks my game. I usually do really good for about 3 games, then you sit waiting for the loser bracket to play out and by the time I'm up again I can't really form a stable stance. Not making excuses, just how it is. I actually may go look for a chair. There's plenty of room at the establishment and there aren't any hard asses there. I might get some friendly ribbing but whatever, I expect that from friends/pool players anyway. Maybe I'll get a pink chair and play it up. ;)

I see league players do it so I may do it too. I play only on weekends now for about 4 hours.

When I play at my buddy's house there is no problem. He actually has comfortable chairs.

A proper pool room would need two of these at every table.
