Anyone have a hard time listening to Scott Frost in the MC?

He said these new players have helped him see the other side of pool , everyone just playing and being respectful….. Let people change their ways instead of bringing up the past ….. I was the same way , we were raised in the 80s, 90s in pool rooms playing road hustlers , pimps , druggies , murderers , people cussing, fighting, threatening bodily harm if you make the 9ball 10people deep !!!! I quit for 15 years , come back to the pool rooms and everyone is respectful, apologizing when they dog it and accidentally hook you , lol wtf …. Pool has changed and so has Scott / and me lol ….. Let him be nice
he was on the gambling side of pool then and was relatively up front and could be trusted to keep his word.

I've not watched one bit of the mosconi cup but I remember watching the recent accustats videos uploaded where Scott Frost and Jeremy Jones did the one pocket semi and finals and he was really good. I do not like one pocket but his commentary helped me watch more than 5 minutes of each game.
Maybe he just feels more comfortable with jeremy jones by him instead of whoever he is commentating with this event?

you think grady and danny d were always angels? karl boyes got physical with dennis hatch after a mosconi cup. why not just listen to the commentary and judge the quality of the commentary? he's not running for president
Jim is actually a really nice well spoken guy, if you ever get the chance to meet him.

Imo, you're coming across as one with a grudge about something you're only indirectly involved in and it is 'pool eating its own'.
We all get an impression of people based on our interaction or viewing of them. I wouldn't be Scott's number one fan but I know and respect people who get along fine with him.

"That son of a bi, Oh how are you doing." She had went from a loud shout to butter wouldn't melt in her mouth honey sweet southern belle in midsentence. I laughed, "Yes ma'am, that son of a bitch."
We started talking that night and were friends from then on. Had she not met me face to face I would imagine she would still be saying nasty things about me.
My impression of Scott isn't good but I am open to being wrong.

I think Scott did a good job, but I did realize how spoiled we are now with so much commentary out there from Jeremy.

I agree. I thought Scott did good. I just think announcers should have a bit more of a gregarious and friendly personality and Scott didn't. I think his analysis is great, but right now he seems more appealing to the hardcore pool crowd. I think MC announcers need to be more relatable to a broader audience. I also think most people don't understand how hard announcing well is. The camera and microphone magnify any flaws in delivery that you would not notice talking to somebody in person.
given they'll continue to have two expert commentators for MC i don't think he'll be back next year. my guess is JJ will be in the commentary booth next year.
Rarely do I reply to my own post, but I enjoyed Scott's tone of voice, simplicity of explanation and delivery of his point of view.
I've heard allot worse in the booth at the MC.
