Anyone have a hard time listening to Scott Frost in the MC?

Director needs to help him out and tell him to just let his sentences flow. He's stressing too many words per sentence, making everything sound very choppy. He can sound great in the booth. Probably just his nerves.

He's not doing sermons in church people. There'd be a long list of un-qualified announcers if having some bad 'pool karma' in your baggage was a non-starter. He's fine in my book.

Oh one more thing Scott. Lose the jeans! 😁
He's wearing slacks today.

Interesting how Scott and Karl both stand with their legs far apart, like they just got off a horse.

Interesting how I see things that nobody would even notice or care about.

I like him vs the generic captain obvious fill ins MR would otherwise put in the booth.

Certainly prefer him over the predator unholy alliance of Mark White and Tim De Ruyter.

Something has been off about almost all the male’s pants the past couple of MR years, imo. Idk if they are dressing themselves or MR is dressing them.

Karl often wears what looks like lady's pants. He might not be able to get his legs closer together, for . . . . certain reasons.

I like the content Scott delivers, always have. As someone who listens to voices, accented speech, and colloquy for a living, when I was listening to him yesterday, I'm not sure why, but he reminded me of Mr. Rogers—his enunciation of each word, speaking slowly, and the fluctuation of his voice. It's a lovely day in the neighborhood—in London town.

It's actually nice to listen to an American accent. I really enjoy Phil Yates too, even with his accent. He does a lot of research beforehand and shares historical wisdom nuggets.

Scott is definitely trying to deliver the best, and I'm giving him a round of applause. And besides, I always did like listening to Mr. Rogers.

I also view it as his attempt to be as professional as possible,I don't understand how anyone can find fault with that ? At 48 years old , the pool game is on the downhill slope, if he still enjoys pool, why wouldn't he want to try to become the best announcer in the business?
I wish him all the best.

It could be that Canuk tool Wyche so count your blessings. SF's ok by me.

I thought Scott did great today and a nice addition to the crew. Wish him the best with commentating; he's good at this. Everyone raves about JJ in the booth but I'm finding Scott to be very insightful and knowledgeable and very much on par with JJ. He is charismatic. (I do tend to agree with the prior comment regarding sleaze factor; I get that vibe a bit too though this is pool afterall, haha)

Becoming a commentator might be the ultimate pool move. You get to go to all the big events. You get to watch the best players. You can hang out with your old buddies in the evenings. You get your expenses paid. You get a paycheck. The same can be said of the professional referees. You don't need a "square" job. The only downside is you are not in the box anymore, but maybe that's not such a bad thing:)

I like Scott's commentary for the most part. Think there are much worse options, so I think he does well.
But regarding (all four :ROFLMAO:) American accents, they are generally like taking a cheese grater to the ear :ROFLMAO:

I get what you are saying with the Mr. Rogers vibe, it's got a certain grandad vibe too it (calm, slow, rhythmic... ready to let something offensive or risqué slip out at any moment lol)

I don't mind Scott's commentary, but I have to mute the audio to watch the matches where Phil Yates is in the booth. I find his style to be dated and off-putting (saying it politely).
He's the same when he commentates snooker. Not sure who he is blowing to be able to keep talking rubbish and getting paid for it....
