Anyone hear of Kangaroo layered tips ?

No. Probably not suitable due to the characteristics of that leather. Also outlawed to sell commercially in some US states like California.

They are just hopping off the shelves.

I have tried making kangaroo hide tips. 1 issue they do not hold chalk very well. The other is the material does not harden like buffalo hide or other hides that are used in tips.
It is a very tough hide though, hence it's use in racing bike leathers.

Kangaroos are just big rabbits. What makes anyone think their skin could hold up to the rigors of a cue tip? Sounds more trendy than practical to me.
