Anyone know how to get unbanned from Inside-Pool stream chat?

I got banned from the inside-pool live stream chat. I got angry when Efren missed a ball and dropped one F bomb. I had separated the letters "c" and "k" when I wrote it. The ban was instant, so I think it was by a bot. I'm not a troublemaker on the chats, and am typically well behaved.

So can anyone help me get unbanned?

If I remember right one of the mods has to type something like "unban_username" with your username naturally being inserted. I could find out looking through some Ustream stuff but the bottom line is a mod there has to do it.

You can probably get back in. Just send an e-mail. I'm sure it was an oversight. A lot of has been written on this forum much, much worse. LOL! :o:grin-square::wink::eek::cool:

That said and not referring to the f-*-c-k word, I applaud InsidePOOL for applying a modicum of moderation, though I think in your case it may have been overdone.

Some chat sessions I have witnessed in other streams are totally ridiculous. Some people do enjoy unmoderated chat where people can insult others at random, as well as being vulgar and obscene.

Everyone has the choice where the click their mouse. I choose to stay away from unmoderated vulgarity; however, some people do enjoy this. It is good that there are chats that provide a stage for these folks.

I would venture to guess that pool industry sponsors and prospective non-pool industry sponsors would steer clear of these and invest their monies elsewhere.

Again, I don't think what you did warranted a banning, but I do understand why banning is necessary. :smile:
 
I'm not sure how to un-ban someone. I'm usually a moderator on all of the TAR Ustream feeds along with ktown, beav, disco, etc...but I don't remember seeing an unban option. An administrator may have more capabilities than just the mods.

I know that several idiots kept coming back and spamming, cussing, etc...even after we banned them several times. Someone said it had to do with the way they were accessing the stream (iphone, etc..) that may allow them to repeatedly return.

The bottom line is that no matter how much you moderate the streams, and there have been several instances where we had 4-5 mods, there will always be the morons that will find a way to cause havoc. That's why I prefer the ppv stream chat where most of the unpaying clowns are weeded out.

yes, many times. If you participated in the chats then you would have known that. I also wouldn't ban anyone simply over petty personal disagreemants so you would be welcomed.

No, thanks. After you told me to s*ck -- well, you remember the comment, as do others who were on that chat session. I will never associate myself in that chat again. I hope nobody ever says that to your wife or daughter. :smile:

lol, what a liar you are. The exact comment was in reference to you acting like you knew everything in the pool world just because you "s*cked a pool players you know what. I never told you to suck anything.

This was after you telling me that I was a non-pool playing egg that didn't deserve to comment on Earl because I wasn't a pro player.

On second thought, I think you are, indeed, a fine moderator for those chat sessions. Perfect fit.
