I ordered a second set or tar 20 jan 19. The first set (ordered shortly after they went on sale) came in just a few days. The second set has not arrived. Do they send them out only every so often or did I fall through the cracks. Has anyone ordered and recieved them recently? I know they only have one or two people. I am on dial-up and no cable and need a pool viewing fix. Sold my first set to an old friend of earls before watching it all.

My girlfriend ordered me this set the first part of December of 2011 for a xmas gift and was never recieved so they cancelled the order and wanted a refund which was refunded later and got a email confirming it was with an apology from Justin saying he would send out a copy of the set for free as way to say sorry for the wait and its now March of 2012 and still nothing... So i wouldnt hold my breathe.

Same here. I order mine last part of last year. Not realizing that my paypal had my old address on it (I also moved last part of last year) I never recieved it. Dont know if it got shipped out or not. Sent Justin a Pm about the situation and wanted to know what company he used to ship the package so maybe i could track it and He never responded to me. I sent another and another pm with no response.

So I just marked it up to poor customer relations and made it that i wont be a customer of Tar again!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. anyway to get the paypal reversed?

Of course, thats the whole deal with paypal.. If it has been within 180 days of the purchase, you are more than able to file a complaint / refund. Explain to them why, and as long as you had made an effort to work it out with the seller beforehand, they will refund your money.. and he is out the money.

Its their anti-scam, so if something doesn't come the way it was announced or you are scammed and they don't give you the merchandise, you can file.

Also...

Replace "my girlfriend" with "wife" and the same thing (I mean refund and promise, everything) was my experience SO forget it.... I would be looking for the refund.

I ordered some DVD from TAR last year.. After 3 month, no product and no return from multiple inquiries, I filed for a refund from Paypal.

My funds were issued quickly but I never did get a reply?? I love the TAR streams but don't order products such as DVD's, etc any longer..

All of this is very disturbing to hear. I have ordered many TAR DVDs with zero problems, but I hope that you all get a resolution. Justin has said before that the "store sales" are not his strong point, but this is really not acceptable. I guess if you place an order, you should be prepared monitor the progress closely, and file with Paypal to get that money back if it doesn't show up. :o

I recently ordered some Accu-Stats videos under Pat's 10 for $100 deal and received it in just 3 days. :)

I went through and zeroed out the inventory in the store or thought I did so I havent even been looking at it. It looks like TAR 20 and a couple other items had inventory still listed allowing orders to go through. Any outstanding orders will be refunded today. I'm out of the dvd business forever as far as I'm concerned.

As for sending out dvds for orders that were refunded I meant to get it done but sh!t happens. Mea culpa. If I'm gonna be crucified for refunding product and not sending it out anyway I'll live with that.

I apologize for the mix up and will be making it clear on the TAR store that it is closed.

The few outstanding orders have been refunded and notice posted on the store that it is no longer open. Sorry for the mix up.

This makes me very sad. I cannot tell you how many times I have watched my TAR DVDs. They were one of my favorite things about TAR.

Can I send you a blank external drive so I can make my own DVDs :)? There are so many great matches you have recorded that haven' seen the light of day for years. Very sad to me. I wish your DVD sales would have been better.

I just suck at order fulfillment. I need a distributor for the dvds. TAR makes them and sells them wholesale to one entity who retails them. I wouldnt have a problem wholesaling them for 50% of retail. I think there is a market for them I just havent pushed them for two years because I hate dealing with the stocking, shipping and customer service.

If I could make 20-50 at a time ship them in one box to one guy and bang out a couple new releases a month I would be all over it and I think they would sell if it was the right dealer. I would push the hell out of them for whoever retails them. I haven't talked to the big box guys and frankly I dont think they would push them at all just plop them in a catalog somewhere and want to pay silly wholesale prices for them.

People have inquired about buying the reproduction rights to our footage and I'm not interested in giving that up unless it is a serious offer of real money. For peanuts I'll just keep the stuff until I find the right partner to distribute it. I'll figure it out at some point hopefully.

Justin, so are you done with T shirts too? How about having DVDs and apparel at venues where you are streaming? Will there be no outlet for your catalog until you have a distributor agreement in place?

I also was wondering if there would be any new or reproduced shirts available at some point (May at the BCA) or is TAR apparel gone the way of the do do bird. Thanks justin

I'll be your wholesale guy. I'll buy 20 copies of TAR 20-24 and sell them at market value. I'll have the money upfront, JCIN please PM me for pp addy and where they will be shipped to, anyone else interested in buying I'll ship them out the day the DVD's are in my hand.

very sad to hear this

I was looking forward to Calired getting all the old ones restocked and keeping up with the new ones there were ones that I still wanted to get for sure. I've watched the Shane vs. Alex race to 100 all the way through 11 times no lie favorite all time ,this is just the opposite of what I thought was coming it's sad. Hope something good happens with this but won't hold my breath. Sorry to hear your decision, best of luck to you.

distributor....

....... wholesaling them for 50% of retail...

instead of trying to find one distributor... sell them in large batches at the price above...

example 20-50 copies at 50% of retail min. order - to anyone who places an order... and let everyone do distribution.... (if they want...)... so now local pool rooms, AZ forums...., small regional tournament sites.., etc... have access to the product in bulk and TAR has a min. order standard (easier to calculate profit per order)... do the same for shirts, etc...

unless shipping 50 boxes with 40 DVDs in each is as big a "pain" as shipping 50 boxes with 1 DVD.... then set order windows (April 1-6 taking orders for TAR 1, 2 and 3 -- Shipping on April 18th.. min order 20 each)..

There is money on the table does anyone want to pick it up is the question...

recieved refund and got my set back

I recieved a fast refund from tar and bought the set I sold to a friend of earls back. He did not want to sell it but did anyway. If the store reopens or someone takes it over would still be interested in getting another set of tar 20 and one or to other tars. Maybe tar could find a part-time helper to work one evening or day or afternoon a week to pull, pack, and address packages then mail all of them at the same time once a week. A one or two week delay in recieving an order would be fine with nearly everyone. A highschool student might like a job like this and cost only 40 or 50 bucks a shift/week depending on the amount of orders - and many are computer savy - or tar could print out the orders. Still be a pain to take to the post office one time a week but if you know the package weights and buy stamps in bulk the helper could do the postage to. Then tar would just have to drop them in the mail with no waiting in lines.
Hope these dvd's stay available to the pool playing public and good rolls to all.
