5000 rep points was enough to be higher than page 5????

Now if you don't have 5000 points, then you haven't been rep'd..... EVER!!!!

Damn I feel like grandpa saying how much it used to cost to go to dinner and the movies....lol

Whats rep???

$3.64 a gallon for gas where I live. As far as I know its the highest in the nation. I can remember gas wars in the 60's and stations would sell for a quarter a gallon.

it's 3.69 here....

It's 3.69 a gallon where I got gas that morning and it's usually cheaper there than most socal places.

Yes Jaden I spend a lot of time from San Francisco south to the border and Our prices are always neck & neck. Cal is a crazy place and I love to visit every year. Last year my two boys and I pool hall hopped all the way down the coast:cool:.

lol, I remember when only the most senior posters had 11 rep jewel thingies. And you had to fight for every damned jewel you got!

For the first couple of months it actually seemed to differentiate the knoweledgable and helpful posters from the pack. Then the rep game thingamabob started and it was just the most popular posters. Now it means absolutely nothing.

On occasion, some of the local stations would compete with each other in what some of you remember as 'gas wars'. I've seen 17.9 cents per gallon many a time. On a Saturday night you could gas up, take your girl to the Drive-In movie, and eat at Steak and Shake, all for about five bucks.
Of course, the bad thing about Saturday night was my Mom, who cooked on a schedule, would always have beans and cornbread for supper. Well, come later in the evening when we were all parked beside the lake, watching the submarine races, I would sometimes feel a great rumbling in my lower regions (no, not those lower regions) and have to excuse myself and go outside for a minute or two.
One Saturday evening, my buddy had eaten supper over at my house and you would have thought you were watching "Blazing Saddles". We never did see those girls again.
