i bought some. a guy i know swears by 'em so i decided to give 'em a try. anyway they seemed over dry and played horrible. like a bad lepro

a bad lepro eh...thats pretty brutal. now i dunno what to do. i still wanna try em but it seems like they're more trouble than they're worth cuz my other friend said they suck.

I have used several and they played great, but you have to tap them quite often to ensure they hold chalk. They were all pretty hard.

I do not like them. They do feel like a dried up lepro and they are loud too.

Sorry for the late reply, I have not been to this part of the site in awhile. I also purchased my TAD tips from J&J, I am not sure that anyone else sells them.

Ugh

Hardest tip I have ever seen. They are terrible.

I switched to my standard Moori soft and lived happily ever after....

I have a tad tip I would GIVE away to anyone who wants it for shipping costs.

It is FREAKING HARD!

LOL

I have a couple of cues with Tad mediums, and I like them..They are a very accurate tip, they jump well, and put descent spin on the ball, but they do need a little maintenance....jmo

Old Tad Tips

In Hawaii, during the 80's, some guys bought a lot of Tad Tips.
It was in a card, with 2 tips sealed under plastic wrap.
Hawaiian Brian had a bunch too.
In the 90's, it was a hot item and was selling for $40 - $50.00 a card.
The good players here all had Tad Tips.
Then, there seemed to be a newer Tad Tip that came out.
That's when the interest ended.
For a while after that, the hot tip was Keith Hansen's Black Widow Tips(Medium).
Just for info...

I tried them when I returned to pool in 2001. I went over to Tad's shop and bought a 2 or 3 pack. I have great respect for Tad and his son Fred. IMO, however, the tips I tried were simply horrible and I could not recommend them to anyone.
