Anything about Ned Morris cues ?

If you like his designs, his cues play good. I have no idea what he charges directly but they can be found in secondary market at very attractive prices.

I met Ned in Vegas this year, hell of a nice guy. I tried a cue of his for a session and liked what it did. Has anyone talked to Ned recently?

PLAYERS' delight custom cues.
Ned makes world-class hitting cues.

AGREED! I love the hit of his cues. I have one he made for me over ten years ago. It's a keeper if you know what I mean. Not fancy, but very well made and plays like a dream. Some cue makers know how to do this and some don't. Enough said.

I have one of his cues as my player, best feel of any stick I played with. Mine came with a super nice double-pressed linen that everyone that has seen it loves. I traded in an ivory Arthur for it, and I think the Morris hits better than my 1990s Joss with the old wood shafts, and we know how well those tend to play.

I always describe the hit it has that you can feel the different components in the cue, but they blend in together at the end to make a complete solid finish to the stroke. Even some 2-3k sticks I have tried don't have the same type of feel, they all kinda feel like a single peice of wood with not much character compared to the Ned Morris.

I played with Ned's cue for over a year, placing 17th at the 2005 US Open with it! Very good hitting!

Ned is way cool to chat it up with to boot!

Edit: Ned also makes the best and most versatile jump cue - IMO. He designed the now retired Stealth Air-Time (AT-1) Jumper. His daughter Melissa also taught me how to do the Credit Card distance jump shot...

Ok, I will be quiet now...

Ned lives close to me. He lives in Desert Hot Springs. I visited his shop about 3 or 4 months ago and spoke to him for a while. He put a new Moori tip on my Schon cue. Great wood-working shop with a slew of cues that he was working on. He's a very friendly and sociable guy. Has an older German Shepard that's just as friendly as Ned. If you need his telephone number, you can pm me. I believe his website is www.morriscustomcues.com.

Thanks !

Thanks folks !!!

Thats confirms my impression . Then i will sell my Samsara Limited and my Omega/dpk and give his cue a chance ...

Thanks again and all the best from Germany , Markus:thumbup:

Morris Cues

Ned builds great cues...
His daughter can "gin" it on the table quite well too...
Most importantly, he's great to hang out with...
He was one of the best things about being out in 29 Stumps years ago...good man!
If ya get a chance to put one of his cues in your hands DO SO!

Yep, that's about it!
