APA should make a new rule......

Being able to concentrate and focus is vital to good pool. I play in the APA and there are some fine ladies who know they are fine and try to use it to their best advantage. Some are just flirts which is fine with me.
You need to develope some mental toughness. It's fine to look at a pretty lady, but there is a time and a place. When you're at the table all you should see in the felt rectangle and the balls within. Look at her after you are done shooting.
I cannot believe it can be sooooo distracting. I would imagine if you're getting distracted like that in a pool hall, if you were walking down the street and a hottie passed you going in the other direction, you'd forget where you were going and what you were about, turn around and start bird dogging her.... No? Then why let it happen over a pool table?

I played a young lady in Providence, one evening, that was wearing something I can't even describe. I asked the tournament director if it was alright for me to play play in my underwear the following week. The hardest part for me was when she was racking the balls. They were lovely and I'm not describing the centennials.
It's a problem, I can live with.

In the Charlotte APA at our city tournaments it's not unheard of for women to be asked to put a t-shirt on due to issues with excessive cleavage...
They don't do it for all cleavage... just the excessive... but, i want to know, who deems it to be excessive? To me, such a thing doesn't exist!

has the milwaukee's best lite can fell on your head yet??!! i say let them play topless if they want. the trick is to block it all out when you are shooting. if you can acheive that kind of concentration, then you will improve your game.
Exactly.... whether APA, BCA, WPBA, the mall.....boobs are just like beer....as long as they are free and smooth, all is good
Not to stereotype but the APA plays mostly in bars and the people that play on these teams do not have the highest self esteem. In fact my guess, (being a former APA player) is that many of these people are looking for relationships or someone to drink beer with. I have seen "boobies" on more than one occasion and seeing women flashing when they are drunk is pretty sad, with guys it's even sadder. My feeling is that it's the environment to blame.
I can vouch for that. Our city tournament possessed some less than middle class folks, lots cutoff sleeve t-shirts, t-shirts with very lewd phrases, tats, ratty blue jeans, work boots, etc. you get the idea.
If they in fact were to enforce the dress code, they would have had to throw the whole lot out. Not to mention where we were it was 95+, under a white tarmac with no circulation of air, and humid. It was like playing in a sauna.
