Thanks for all the information and comments. Still interested if anyone knows of other pro players using an Andy Gilbert cue.
I have Gilbert jump/break and I agree it plays incredibly well, or at least it did before I swapped the tip for a Samsara. With the stock tip it's probably the most versatile cue ever, but my poor jumping skills meant I couldn't jump well with it. Samsara tip fixed that real quick!
Anyway, I was wondering, does he make these simple j/b cues from a full splice blank or does he build a short splice forearm for them himself? The point work is just so clean on them, it's really an impressive cue for the price.
They are his own milled in points. Andy will not sign his name on any cue converted from a blank. Best custom cue value out there, imho.
As of two weeks ago, Saez plays with a Lambros. Same for Bergman. They both showed them to me.
Sounds like there are lots of top level players playing with them.
