Talk in the chat room is, it's not even near that amount.
Can the bet be confirmed?

Who really knows

One thing I would bet on is that neither player put up $100K by himself....
It had to be backers; just how many is the question........and you make a good point.....who knows? It could be much less, but the perception is sometimes better than the reality....

It's all fine and dandy to make it sound better than it really is I suppose, until a tax man comes knocking. It seems they're playing for 100k to me if each is putting up 100. I don't get that.

Guys, with all due respect the sword brothers, hank would not be interested in a "show"

Some people are such idots, (not you Joey)), but hey, everyone is entitled to have their opinions. I'm sorry, but it frustrates the hell out of me when people say so much stupid sheet. If they just use a little bit of their brains, they will see that the players are fighting hard. You think the players are playing for free???

Anyway.....

Do you see the 3 guys sitting along the long rail? They are the main corporation for Dennis' camp.

Scott's camp consist of the Sword brothers and Hank.

There are possibly other backers involved.

I myself have put up cash in some big actions.

I know of at least 1 person that will put both of these 2 camps combined to shame when it comes to gambling in pool.

Just because you guys don't gamble doesn't mean that everyone is like you and don't gamble. Hell, just look into another subforum here. They are total degenerates gamblers.

Let's just stop the non sense bs rumors. Give the two guys some respect.

I will be glad to bet anyone all 200K is posted! This one is very real kids! Probably another 100K on the side at least! Lenny is right, the biggest online streamed match of all time!

I would say yes, 200k in the middle. I would guess there is quite a lot being bet on the side as well. Hell, my bud went to the north side and came back with 4K in around 4 hours betting on the side on a couple of pros not long ago. Ever hear of the "color of money"? :)

The Color of Money in HK was for 100K but it was actually 75-25.

This must be the biggest one-hole match of all time then.
Outside of Scott against Dippy Dave.

Well sir Joey, this one is different. No savers involved.

Got that. And no promoter putting up the money by himself.
Efren and Earl did not have a saver.
That was the parity set before the match.

Perception is reality.

Why are there like four people watching the match onsite. Is it approved spectators only? I'm not questioning the bet but the crowd, or lack thereof, really throws me off like something's not adding up here.

You can't see it but there are bleachers on each side of the table set back and tables that go around the table. It might look like there isn't a crowd but there is probably ranging around a 100 people there from what I have seen with more coming and going throughout the sessions. Even at the conclusion of each night there are still 50 or so sweating it. Each camp has 5-10 people with them alone for support. I will try and get a picture tomorrow showing the crowd better if I get the chance.

Thanks for clarifying Lenny and Jay that they are indeed playing for the amount as advertised. I am a bit surprised that you both seem to wonder why anyone would question this. I mean after the famous John French incident and all.:angel2:

One guy destroys everything? And yes, I understand why, but there are no streams being sold here, it's live streamed free. So what would be the incentive? Pump up fast lennys #s? For what gain?
Gotta be rational in some of these situations - sometimes a spade is a spade.
