Maybe if they switch to one pocket.
Me personally, I could watch one-pocket all night long, especially challenge matches. I've noticed the older players seem to prefer one-pocket instead of 9-ball or 10-ball or 8-ball. That said, it is a boring game to watch for some, especially those who don't play pool.

One year, ESPN came to the Capital City Classic to film a one-pocket tournament, and after about 30 minutes, they packed up and left, stating nobody would watch this on TV. True story! I won't say who was one of the players, but he's known for his slow play. They didn't have shot clocks back then.

One pocket is not for the masses. If you don't understand the game it wont be much fun. 🤷‍♂️

Probably not. I get a lot of pool on Billiard TV. Some live, but mostly recorded. And, on Sling, there is an "on-demand" section for Billiard TV with probably 150 different episodes. More than I could ever watch.

Have they indicated whether or not there will be an app for firestick/smart tv's? I personally despise having to screen share/cast with my phone. And does this mean no more Sky sports?

Same here. If there was a mobile app of some sort so I could either cast to my TV via Chromecast or a smart tv app I could access direct from my TV I likely would sign up at the monthly rate and at least give it a go for a while.

Without that though, probably not except maybe in cases of special events where it's the only/best option and worth the hassle accessing it via the website and then getting it onto my tv.

if the ondemandpool or whatever the accustat live page is called can cast to chromecast, i would be surprised if the biggest promotor in pool couldn't fix that option

I don't want to have to have it running on my phone or a tablet and beam it to my TV. I want to click an icon on my tv, just like I click on the espn app, or the hulu app, and have it play. Should be easy, right?

I click the Amazon silk icon on my FireTV (TCL) and use that browser. It's that easy

Yes, its 10 bucks to check it out. I think someone asked what the schedule is for MatchRoom tournaments being streamed. I didn't see the answer.

Would rather it was free... I will just watch the re-stream through social media in the country I am situated.

I agree with this 100% It's 2025, creating the app for a smart tv/device shouldn't be that difficult.

It would be better if they just made a paid membership for their Youtube channel. All of their content is on there anyway, and more importantly they already have the subscribers! 476k at the moment.

It’s so much easier converting your subscribers (and potential millions of unsubscribed traffic) to paying members within the YouTube app, than trying to migrate them off the app to a website. I wouldn’t be surprised if they get a fraction of memberships they could have if they had streamlined it through YouTube. It’s still early stages though, maybe it’s all in the plans.

They could keep the highlights and condensed matches for the public, and then have the live events, full matches, behind the scenes extras etc for paid members only. I’m a paid member of the Pro Billiards Tour Youtube channel (I love old school pool) and they run it in a similar way.

Plus it’s easier having it on the YouTube app that can be downloaded and streamed on literally any smart device. Nobody wants to stream or mirror off a website from their phone. At the very least it should be an app.

Launching WNT TV without an app in 2025 is a questionable move to say the least. Most people at some point will want to watch it on a smart tv. As well as pool halls with multiple TVs. Having to open a web browser, type in the website, log in, and then mirror it to a tv is so clunky and dated. The WNT TV app should be right there on my phone or smart tv home screen. Auto logged in and ready to go. Fingers crossed hopefully there’s an app on the way.

You are absolutely correct. The worst is when you have to mirror from your phone, and then not able to text/browser other things on your phone.

I plan on watching it on my PC computer. I hope that option is still available. By the way, I paid the $100 to join for the year, but they still have not charged me on my credit card yet. Hmm.
