Can anyone tell me about the playability of Carmeli cues? Thoughts? Opinions?

I know this isn't a photo posting - but I felt like the people w/ knowledge might check the gallery before the other areas.

Thanks.

I love mine!
I got it used from a fellow AZer and it became my main player since.
I've shot with a Southwest that felt very similar.

I would love to get another one down the road.

And with a matching 314 shaft...

Please note that I have a wide selection of new unchalked Ariel Carmeli cues. I offer conditional buyer approval on any Carmeli cue I sell. You get a lot of bang for your buck with Ariel Carmeli cues.

I highly recommend Martin (jazznpool), he is a great person to deal with. Also, I have owned several Carmeli cues and they all played jam up. Like Martin said Ariel's cues are one of the best values in the industry regarding the amount of cue you get for the price.

I bought a brand new Southwest from Martin a few years ago. He is an excellent person to deal with.

Matt,

You might want to e-mail Crown City Corey - he plays with one and has used a number of them. I hit balls with Corey's fitted with Tiger shafts - it felt perfect - the right balance, etc. - very nice. He is doing very nice work.

I also have one in the arsenal and it is an excellent playing cue.

I am a traditional 5/16-14 piloted stainless guy, and this Carmeli has a flat face stainless joint (like the one pictured above) and it plays as good as the traditional joint. I am quite happy with the cue other than the length is a bit short (58") for me, and it is therefore available for purchase.

If this cue was 59" long, I would not part with it!

Excellent cue for the money; honestly an excellent cue PERIOD. He does good work.

If you want a Titlist tribute cue, let me know...

Thanks Don--I apprciate the kind words. Matt, somehow I didn't realize you were the Matt that bought that great looking Macassar ebony SW. I can also help you out on a new cue order. I'm at Ariel's shop on a weekly basis. I have about 7-8 cues that are close to being done and ready for sale. Variations on traditional designs and about 4 cues made from custom full splice John Davis Blanks. I'd be glad to talk more about them or any other cue I have if you're interested. Be assured that I'd like you to be satisfied with any cue purchase from me.

Are you going to make westerncue transfer you to superiorcues directly when going to westerncue?, might be a good idea to keep it online for a bit so people know you have moved. Martin, the cues you have to offer are gorgeous, will you be at the one pocket championship in Arizona again?

Just got my First one a few weeks ago and it's plays amazing. My favorite cue to date. I plan on gettinghim to make me a one I design in the future.

Carmeli cues Playability

Luan and I have had many Ariel Carmeli cues that he made for us and we know them to play very well. Ariel emphasizes playability in his construction of all of his cues, from low end to high end. His new low end continuous core cues, some sold by AZ member-Jazznpool/Martin Bick for around $1000, are excellent players. Ariel does not use weight-bolts. If you buy a Carmeli cue, you will love how it plays regardless of your skill level. Paul Del Giudice

Hi folks, I just dug up this post on a search, I'm looking to get an AC cue through j&j soon. I have inquire about the cue specification to the seller and so far answers have been spotty.

Can you guys please tell me the kind of taper on a standard shaft that Ariel ship with his cues? Pro taper, euro taper?

I also inquire about the weight of the cue and ask's that the cue be lesser than 18 oz, but delivered with a 1 oz weight bolt in the butt, incase I needed to use it. But now I discover that the post right above me mentioned that Ariel's cues does not use weight bolt, so how is this going to work then?

What is the standard weight of the cue with the shafts attached for Ariel's cue?

This is an out of stock cue and I'm back ordering this cue with several months waiting time. Sounds like it is built to order.

Thanks for any useful comments folks

Ariel

The one I owned played great. He uses ivor-x ferrules. They are incredible. I don't think anyone else has these ferrules anymore. Ariel had his own stock of them last I knew. No - he will not sell the ferrules...

His shafts are a 10" pro taper.

Most of the cues he makes weigh close to 19 oz, he does prep the butts to take a weight bolt, but for a light cue as you say lesser than 18 oz, it would most likley need to be custom ordered.
