Art Cantando has died 9/23/09

I'm very sad to say that Arthur died this morning.
He lived his life to the fullest and lived and died the way he wanted.

Pool has lost a Legend. The world has lost a wonderful man.
And we have lost a good friend.

I would like to thank everyone who sent notes of encouragement and
kindness to him. I printed them and read them to Arthur and his family.

thank you,
Barry Szamboti
My prayers are for the family and friends! and i know this has to be hard for you and cat.

Today has been a difficult day on many levels..
I've spoken with Barry on many occasions knowing Art has been very I'll, and knew this day of sorrow would happen, but prayed not for a long time.
It would be impossible to get much sader knowing the pain that the Cantando's and Szamboti's are feeling now..
Art was very special to me, and I will truely miss him.
Art just made me feel good inside. He was kind and tough rolled into one package. His sense of humor was un describable. I spent much quality time with him, which I'm very greatful for.
Yes, We lost a "Legend"

My dad just passed away, and we laid him to rest yesterday.
Today It feels like I lost another dad..
Best,
Ken Kerner
Ken My prayers go out to you also for your father! God Bless

Barry, I am sorry for the loss of your good friend. My condolences to you and the Cantando family. I never met Art but from what I have read and heard, he was a very special man.

One of the most under rated cue makers of all time, but more importantly, one of the truly good guys. Rest in peace, Arthur.

My condolences to friends and family. Nothing dies. It changes form. Hoping I don't offend by offering what is the truth for me.

My condolences...

My sincere condolences Barry, be well.
He was a great person, a kind hearted person, and never short of words, thats for sure!

I just saw this news today. It is with great saddness that I read about Art passing away. I really liked him and always enjoyed our phone conversations and will miss seeing him every year in Valley Forge. He learned so fast and accomplished so much in cue making in such a sort time, as he started late in life. But it seems he made friends just as fast, so I know he will be missed by many. RIP Art!

Art's viewing and mass was crowded. Many dear friends were in attendance and despite the somber nature of the gathering, all had wonderful stories of this exceptional man to share.

Arthur I'll miss you, I enjoyed your friendship like no other.

WOW......i've been out of the loop that's for sure....such a great loss....

My heartfelt condolences and prayers to the Cantando family and all their close friends for Keith, Sherri and myself.......
