Just a heads up for those who happen to look outside the AZB forums for cues, shafts, cases, etc. Make sure to give (Joe) Nielsen's Billiards a holler. www.joerackem.com . I don't have his phone # handy, but I'm sure it can be found following the link.

The fine folks at Nielsen's are located in Springfield IL, and happen to be on the way when I head towards my Brother-in-law's (like I did this weekend). So, of course, I have to stop in and look around a bit. Both Joe and his wife are uber-nice folks, and very knowledgeable with EVERYTHING pertaining to pool. So,

again, give them a look when you are in the market for any of your pool needs. :grin:
 
I strongly recommend Joe!

i just wanted to say that i am from Greece (quite a long away eh?) and i have excellent feedback from Joe in all of my orders. I have bought various things from quite a few internet well known shops . Joe is unbeatable. Even if he hasnt something he finds it for me and in 6 days is outside of my door ( A WHOLE CONTINENT APART.. )

Nothing more to say .I just wanted to express my opinion for an excellent businessman

I may be wrong but I was thinking Joe had posted on here some. He is an outstanding supplier. Good prices and good service.

I've gotten a few cues, and a bunch of misc. items from Joe and his wife over the last several years and I can definitely say I've never had better service ............ anywhere. Not to mention they've got to have close to if not THE best prices out there.

I bought my break cue from them based on a recommendation from a friend. I was so pleased with the prompt service that I have purchased several other items from them. I keep intending to stop by their store on my way to St. Louis one of these times.
 
A few weeks back, I was shopping for a new jump/break cue, and a friend recommended Joe. I decided to give him a call to ask some questions about a McDermott jump/break I found on his ebay store. All I can say is, PHENOMENAL customer service. Every question I asked, he answered. He even took out the cue to measure the balance points and weights for the complete cue and in the jump configuration. After I ordered it, I received the cue in 2 days to Northern VA. Big thumbs up for Joe and Nielsen Billiards. They have top notch customer service, a very knowledgeable staff, and very competitive prices.
 
Joe is a great guy, he is honest and has very good prices. He does have tables in his store and he I have tested cues in there, but no chalking.
I would recommend him to anyone without hesitation.

DAMN....that makes two of us. :)

All silly aside...I know now without any uncertainty that I WILL be purchasing from Mr. Nielsen before the night is over based solely on your comments Rusty.....too bad he doesn't sell pitching wedges, huh?

I've seen your store before Joe and when it comes to matters of quality and customer service I trust the crew here at AZ to steer me to the best of the best.

Sorry to disappoint you (Beav and Mattie) ;)

the funny thing about Joe is you could be looking at something online at 1 in the morning - drop him an email to ask a question, aqnd have a reply a couple of minutes later.....I don't think the guy ever sleeps or is ever away from his computer. And as some have already mentioned, he must have some kinda "deal" with delivery services....always comes a day or two sooner than you expect it!!! I'm glad his store is an hour and a half away (any closer, and I'd spend WAY too much time there) :grin:

If I can't find something here (wanted/for sale section), I don't even look anywhere else....just ask Joe!! :cool:
