Anyone know....
What's a good room to play in, where the Players go that's in Philadelphia or close to it?
Fusco's is.................................................................. was

Bluegrass Billiards. Lots of tables and plenty of action! Another nice room is Markley in Norristown.

Both of those are an hour and a half drive from the US Open. Anything closer worth visiting?

Another possibility is the room in Vineland, NJ (35 miles from Atlantic City) where, I believe, Jose Garcia plays. I don't know the name of the room. Might be Qball Billiards, but I'm not sure.

From the pictures on Google Maps, Qball appears to have a dozen 9' Gold Crowns. I saw some text that said "and snooker" but didn't notice a snooker table in the pictures.

Atlantic City Billiards it's in egg harbor township. Probably the closest you are getting to a pool hall besides some bar in AC.

Nice room but limited hours open so check before you go.
Lots of crowded league play in the evenings.
3 one pocket tables up front.
Nice ownership.
They have a 3 cushion table and a ten foot pocket billiards table too.
Mostly GC's and a few AMF's.

What's the matter with Sandcastle in Edison? Or that one on the coast below Toms River (IIRC) ?

This room is owned by Jose Garcia. They have a very nice Friday night chip tournament with the number of chips determined by your Fargo rate. They also have a 10-ball B&R pot that seems to hover between 10 and 14 K in the prize pool.

I've heard good things about this room. Bill, this room would be a very good choice.

If I rented storage space or commerical real estate and then paid to have tables installed, would anyone consider hanging out with me? I would be the short distance alternative to pool rooms in AC during the US Open. I would also provide catering serving pool food.

AC pool rooms are far, but I can afford a popup pool table space event.
How many people would be interested? I would call it an art exhibit space.

You would pay a donation and maybe buy my billiard artworks like the paper cue sleeve.
The tables would be free to use.

I am serious about this.

I moved to Tuckerton NJ from Edison NJ and the closest is AC Billards maybe 20 miles away, Not like Edison which had about 6 within 5 miles. Anyway I retired and dont play much anymore
