Attention brunswick billards i'm pissed !!!

Lawyer up for both the dealer and Brunswick. Hope you have pictures for court. Johnnyt

This could be due to improper installation of the cloth if Im not mistaken. I would think its more of who set it up than the table.

That is true, as Diamond is subject to the same mechanic "hacking" work that every table manufacture is subject to once the table has left the factory and now is at the mercy of whom ever works on it from then on out. NO table manufacture is immune to this kind of follow up work, it's just unfortunate that the best tables in the world can fall prey to an unexperienced mechanic. I can assure you the Diamond you played on didn't leave the factory with the cushions at the wrong height to begin with

Chain only as strong as weakest link

I've owned and played both Diamond Pro-Am and now a GCV. Owned a connelly before that. All good tables, but the best table in the world will play like crap if it's not set up right. It always amazes me to watch a real pro mechanic, as opposed to a deliveryman/installer, set one of these up. You're fortunate that you've found the place to help you locate a real mechanic. He can set it up right, and also tell you if there's a problem with the table that came from the mfg, or a problem that got installed by the installation so to speak. There's a dozen guys on here that can steer you in the right direction. And it seems to me that you've only got two potential beefs with Brunswick: 1. if there really is a mfg defect, or damage in shipping; 2. if they set you up with an installer who inflicted his own damage on the table by not doing something right or trying to jack leg around a problem. [go to the hack work section to see painful and funny examples from the field.] GCVs are built like tanks, and even if he did screw it up,the good news is that it can be fixed....
FWIW, we switched from the Diamond to the GC so that we have both tournament level tables available all the time; out local pool hall has all brand new Diamonds to play on, and we play the GC at home. I don't think you go wrong either way, but it's a $7000 guitar with rubber bands for strings if it's not set up by a pro. And only the best mechanics will do the best table justice. JMHO........

True that. I found out the easy way - I researched my arse off before settling on a mechanic to build my GC4. The same one that set up your GC5 as a matter of fact.

i bought a brand new $7000.00 brunswick table from my local brunswick dealer that is just over a year old now. I have had nothing but problems since the installtion. During the installtion the split one of the slate srew mount hold down blocks. They said the repaired it. I have nothing but problems with the slate seams on both ends of the table.they have been out several times trying to repair this problem now they want to charge me over $500.00 to fix the problem. I said know way. I have tried to contact brunswick threw email and left messages by phone an get no response. I think scene brunswick let them be a dealer somethimg should be done about there popcorn table mechanic work . If anyone could help me solve my problem or contact brunswick about this please p.m please. Know wonder diamond products r taking over!!! Thanks professor

don't be mad a brunswick. Gcv is a very good table if it is installed correctly. You should be upset at the retailer.

We have 2 of them at our room and they play fabulous!

Get an able table mechanic to install it for you. If you live around the southeast area, contact mark gregory to install it for you. I promise that you will be happy with his work.

John, i think i have every right to be up set with brunswick i have tried to contact them for months threw email an there phone number listed on there warranty page on there web site. I sent email after after email an left messages on there automatied phone sytem .YOU CAN NOT TALK TO A LIVE PERSON AT ALL!!! The only think get is please leave a detailed message an will return your call in 24hrs. In my opinion i think they should be a count able for it about it from the so called certifed brunswick dealer. Here is an exmaple for u : say u go buy brand new chevy from certifed chevy dealer. You have had the car less than a week the transmission takes a crap. You carry the car back there certifed gm tech fixs the trans. Ok a month goes by the trans fails again. You carry it back there tech fixs it again. Then few more weeks go by it fails again u carry it back. Ok u r carrying your car back to the same chevy dealership u bought your new chevy from an there certifed chevy tech. has been repairing your chevy all this time. How would u feel about your chevy and there certifed trained tech. JUST MY 2 CENTS PROFESSOR1967 sorry for any misspelled words i get real heated about this!!

Like I said in my PM to you, Mark Gregory is every bit the same mechanic that I am, so he'll take care of your problem.

Hi there,

I think call the lawyer to sue that bad dealer is the best way, otherwise every peny u spend r break ur heaart again.

Just opinion

If you paid for the table with a credit card, I would dispute the charge and let them pick up the table.

Get a new table from someone else, I like Diamonds better than any other table but you should try them all and see what you like the best. Get Mark to set up your new table and you will save a lot of money over the long run and be much happier.

Doesnt matter what table you buy if the guy who installs it is a moron its not gonna play right. Dont blame it on brunswick. Have a reputable mech do the work and chalk it up to lesson learned.

The boxes containing the frame and aprons (just wood parts, no hardware) of my Gold Crown were marked "Made in Brazil." Everything else was marked "Made in the U.S.A."

most of the brunswick boxes say made in china. I've only seen the gold crowns that say brazil
