FML = "f*ck my life"

it's a website where you can anonymously express frustration about how crappy your life is.

It is now also a catchphrase to indicate something crappy happened to you.
I.E - "I was about to propose today to my girl of ten years when I found out she has been sleeping with my sister".

The poster was probably trying to be funny with no intention of disrespect. Hmm he probably did though if the rest of you thinks so.
It's actually not that bad once you check the website out and the premise behind his post. He was probably just trying to make light of the situation.

Several good suggestions on here Grady. John Barton post was real good, so was JHendri post. I agree with you, btw, that you should be in the HOF, and yes, that you should get invited to the 14.1 Championships. Only a fool ignores those who have gone before him.

I have been hearing about you, Grady, since I was a kid, and I am 61 now.

I, also, agree that we should respect and honor our veterans of our sport. It reflects back on us, as individuals and as a sport.

If we are powerless to influence the powers that be in this situation, then I suggest that AZ'rs rally to initiate a 'Peoples Choice Hall of Fame' for our sport, with voting to take place on AZB once yearly for candidates. A separate subforum could be setup permnantly for our HOF members with bios for each discipline/category of our sport. Just think, what would mean more to a player, being selected by some political organization or being selected by the public of the sport? To me, being selected to a HOF by my peers is, indeed, a higher honor. There could be a member, who is respected and knowledgeable, appointed/elected to maintain the HOF section with information on current candidates, election results, format of the section, history, etc.. This section could be noted on the main menu for AZB, with being able to select it and go straight to it.

I do not think that we are entirely powerless. After all, we are the largest and best Pool forum on the internet. Think of the value this section could provide to interested parties, particularly to new members of AZB.

Let me know what you think of my idea!

Grady,

I haven't talked to you before, but I see no reason for you to leave. As you have said, this is the internet, take everyone's comment with a grain of salt and it would be much easier to deal with. I know how it gets sometimes, but see it as just entertainment and don't take it to heart what people say. For the most part, you will 98.9999% never meet the guy who is talking trash or disagree with you, so just let it go. Stay here and keep enjoying this forum. As a new member, I always hate to see anyone leave our forum due to disagreements. Have a good one.

Who is this Mr. Wilson you speak of?

Koop - mildly amused at all the threads started by Grady.

If you want me to leave I will gladly do so. I haven't posted on Cue chalk in 6 years and the one Joey A is on in 5 years. I just cannot take internet morons constantly picking at me.
This is a hard world we live in now. I post intelligently and truthfully and these baboons ignore the evidence I so painstakingly present and take things out of contex and label me a bitter old man.
Just read my current threads and it should be evident what I mean. They say really nasty things and imply others and it's just not fair.
I await your disposition,
Grady

When so many people here support you and so many ARE on your side, why threaten to leave? Why punish those of us who like you and are rooting for you? Your not getting back at those who dont like you, you hurt the ones who do.

You would really stop posting here if 100% of the people don't support you? Even if it was 50/50, you still have all that support. Real dum move to leave here.

Focus on the good things said about you. You got lots of loving in all these threads. Your very lucky to have so many friends

Kinda like..."I am taking my ball and I am going home!"

Hey Grady...we support you! But dang, I just cant see why you would want to be involved in something if your not invited  Screw what you deserve...because I think you deserve it...Can you qualify for this tourney? if you can, why not go out and show them what you have? Obviously we cant help you..And I know if we could, we would...but honestly, your barking up the wrong tree......

Hope my opinion doesnt put me on ignore.:frown: Cause I am behind you 100%

"Double" post -- two of everything, now that I think of it...

How bout that double post..lol

Yup, I see those double posts all the time. When I'm walking down the street, I see some pretty lady walking the opposite way across the street, and as I turn my head to admire her... DUYANNNNNNNNNGGGG!!! I walk head-first into into a lamp post. When I turn my ringing/resonating head back forward to see what hit me, I see a "double" post.. in fact, I see "two of everything" now, that I think about it...

:D

The saying has been around since the start of the internet, it's not amusing.

Grady,

I don't know why you would want to play in a tourney run
by charlie, I don't have a clue why you would want anything
to do with him.

But, a lot of folks on this board have supported you and have
given you some sound advice.

It's not worth it for your stress level to ever play in a charlie
event.

Let it go, it's not worth it, he's not worth it.

all the best

Grady,

They aren't picking at you, they just disagree....there is always going to be someone that disagrees with you....

As far as the spot/160 balls, people get on here and argue spots and games all day long until they are blue in the face, and 99% of those games never, ever come to reality....

There is no need for you to leave or get frustrated or apologize or any of that.....you posted a sincere position....some people agreed, some didn't....many posted valid points one way or the other.....at least you got some input from your supporters on why they think you should have gotten a slot....you also got some imput from other that gave their opinion on maybe why you didn't or shouldn't have gotten a spot...

It's just opinions.....it's highly likely that the majority of dissenters likely have a lot of respect for your history and knowledge - they just happen to disagree regarding the invitation...and truth be told, you kinda did come across as someone who posted an opinion on an open forum, yet didn't want to hear anything contrary to your own opinion....

It sounds like you are one of the pool elite....sounds like you have your own room, you do great things for the game, and lead a damn good life.....so people disagree, so what....people disagree all the time.....let it go.....no need to make a big exit or hail the Wilson.....if ya need, take a break, think it over, and then come back.....there are always a ton of great topics here and probably plenty of people that would love to have some insight from you on those posts...

Good luck, I truly hope you can just take the input for what it is and be happy with all the great things you have......I didn't get the impression people wanted to insult you, they just don't agree....

You couldn't have said it better.Tap...Tap....
