Attorneys that play pool

We have an A-level player/attorney in New York City who I met while he was in law school at NYU. Obviously, he doesn't have the time to keep up that sorta game but he shows up from time to time and gives the B's a run.
I know one well known member of this forum who is one. I won't give up his name in case he doesn't want it public knowledge...but I will say he's a huge Rick Howard fan.
Harry Platis plays pretty sporty int eh Seattle area. He's got the dough and if you want his cash you have to give up a spot. Think someone earlier this week saying he recently played Dan Louie one pocket with Dan spotting him 9-6 or something similar.
Chuck Meardon from Iowa City, Iowa was a strong collegiate player. He won regional ACUI events several times. He graduated a few years before my time. When I was in school, he would show up on rare occasions and put on a pretty good 14.1 show. I'm unsure how much he plays today.

11-5, 12-5 and the breaks! Races to 4. First set I believe for $2K, the second (and last one) for $4K. Harry won both.

My big brother is an attorney, and still plays in league once a week, and has a bar table at home. His team is mostly lawyers, and he has won 1st place on the annual 'Judges Day' toournament about 4 times. I used to play league with them in league, and we won 1st place several times.
He played quite a bit when he was younger, and in his college days, he used to gamble with the likes of Craig Steven, Gary Funk, and others around Wichita. He also used to be Papa Burke's attorney for several years.
He won the Snooker championship at KU one year when he attended there.
My brother, although enjoying Pool most of his life, was an accomplished Archer for many years, and nationally rated. He won 7 state championships, and even placed 11th in the world in Australia when 8 years past his prime. Knute, his wife at the time, and kids were featured in the newspaper 3 times as the whole family were avid Archers. He met and had dinner with Wildman Ted Nugent, as Ted is an avid Archer also.

Back in So Cal in the 70's , there was an attorney that I used to play 3 cushion ... he was good enough to play and win against most all the local guys around LA except Gilbert and Bill Hynes. Played pretty good one pocket also...but I can not remember his name. He lived around Long Beach.

I do know a Judge that comes onto this forum .

Ron Kreilstein (MEMPHIS) was a decent player in the late 80's/90's.
TREMENDOUS marksman(firearms).

Gary Asbell won the ACUI championship in 86 and 89 and he is an attorney. Not sure if he still plays. Harry Platis would have to be considered the best of the actively practicing attorneys imo. I won the ACUI title in 92 in my third year at UF law and I think I would have to get up and try Platis some with the call 8. Maybe the last two if I have been playing more than my usual 1x a week. Not sure what I would need in 1p though since thats suppose to be his best game and its one of my worst.
There are three FEMALE attorneys I know.Two of them are from Austin.One of them does not seem to be playing anymore and she used to be on the WPBA`s board. Another one played in WPBA`s US open in Albuquerque last year.She works in DA`s office.Third female is from Michigan but she moved to some place in California.
