Automatic Cue Repair Machine!!

That is the old Taylor Tenon ferrule cutting machine. Works kind of like the old hand turned pencil sharpeners. But it has a depth stop. It will grind a ferrule down even with a shaft even if it is warped. I sold mine years ago. I might should have kept it to display beside my treddle lathe.
Here is a U Tube video of it working:

Has anyone seen this one yet? I stumbled across this and wondered who else is doing this.

I kinda remember someone showing that URL before - there was concern by some about getting a high speed laminate router so close to the business end of a customer's cue.

Has anyone ever seen price on one (had to check that I was in the correct forum to ask :D)? It's not in their online catalog or anywhere that I can find.

Of course, then you have to buy the right size lathe with the right tool post - but it's only more money into the shop equipment.

I hung mine on the wall to remind customers of how far the human race has advanced. Nice conversation piece. Cribbeecues

And it's AUTOMATIC!!! :)

Disclaimer: I have no affiliation with the seller nor any monetary involvement in the sale of this product :p

Dude you changed the auction title a little bit, where does it say automatic.

For your information the machine is used for turning a tenon on shaft, these machines were popular in the old days when no really did cue repair. They were in most cases used for house cues without a threaded tenon or capped ferrule, slip on ferrule.

Oh and by the way, these things are kinda Antiques these days, it might be of interest to a collector, however, I agree the price is kinda strong, if anyone wants one for a collection I have one allot cheaper, it is an extra from my collection.

Peace out

Hi Craig,

I'm pretty sure the original eBay ad said "automatic". I think the seller changed it and he changed the starting price too. No deception intended - just compared to modern techniques, it seems, well, antiquated.
