AZ 8 rated - Round Robin at Sweet Tooth Billiards

This thread is about the AZ 8 rated Round Robin tournament!

BUT, my last message about the Rating Committee on this Thread. Obviously if your body has changed to where you lost feeling in your arm, dominant eye fell out, lost a limb, etc. Your rating can be adjusted. We are not talking about the obvious stuff. People do and can be lowered by attending a rating meeting and stating your case. The Committee has a large attendance with over 30 members from different rooms around the state attending. People that had Strokes, Major Surgery, Accident, Health Issues, etc. have all been lowered. Healthy normal people that want to be raised because they aren't winning at their new rating have not. Just because a player is at a certain rating, doesn't mean they HAVE to be the best person in that rating. There are Low - High of every rating.

Don't Overtake this thread as it's for the Round Robin and People that want to play in it. Thank you!

One gentleman I know who underwent Cardio Vascular Surgery, and shall we saw "DON'T Play 9 Speed No More, was a "9" before the surgury, was lowered to an "8".

Also I understand you MARK are allowed to go to the Rating Committee Meeting anytime you want, and ask the Committee to lower you, and that state your CASE why you think you should be lowered. Than the Committee vote on your request.

You are probably right there. The problem is I think once I played for a couple of hours I would get right back into it and then that could cause problems if I were playing a 6 ya know? BUT if the time comes where I really think I need to and I am playing alot then I will talk to them.

I still will hold true to my promise if I can get enough people in the school we will make it so the bonus prize for the Sweet tooth RR winner has the option to play JA in a mini Challenge. I don't know if that helps the cause to get people on board for the tourney but it can't hurt ( I don't think)

Yep but with the Super bowl etc it may be a tough one. Talking of superbowl I PMed you a superbowl joke. Unfortunatly can't be told on a public forum.

Sweet Tooth might possibly be open on the 7th, but the outlook is not good. I just left there and spoke with Mike. The City wanted a few things moved an inch here and an inch there before they'll sign off. They are working hard to finish, and he hopes to open on that day. We need a back-up plan? Bullshooters? Metro? I'd do Kolby's, but I'd have to check flights. ha ha

Bullshooters would probably work the best but any of them are fine with me.

metro has 8 and under that day so bullshooters is backup plan 1 kolby's will be 2 is that ok for everyone else?

The power to be at the City should get there act together, as if they allow the business to open the TAX REVENUES start rolling in to the Cities CASH DRAW...........I personally do not understand why many cities in the State of AZ are so Anti business, but cry about not having enough money to run the city......SURPRISE is another City that make it hard for people to do business in their city.......Followed closely behind by Glendale, and Peoria AZ!

First of all, if this is going to be on big tables then Carlos is going to win. If not, its anybodys game...Carlos still the fav...........If you guys want a real shot at the title let me know. :smile:

Please make sure you bring cash, v cash is not going to work. Please take no offense of my post but i think the az rating system is the biggest joke in the us. Should be a ................ABC rating
