az administrators, why allow deno to operate in stealth?

Why would az billiards forums protect deno andrews forum activity from the rest of the forum members?

Why, under his member profile has his "last activity" been removed? Why is he the only member affored such privacy?

Why would az billiards risk its neutral credibility status for the likes of such a person who is currently representing the most controversail entity in pool?

As forum members, we have a right to know. Did az offer this accomodation, or was it requested?

I'll reserve judgement until we are graciously offered an explanation.

I could be wrong here, but I think this may be standard for AZB forum columnists, and Deno does have a three cushion forum of his own. I didn't see a last activity for Keith McCready or Charlie Bryant (Hillbilly) either.

Subsequent addition: As others have noted, the AZB columnists would surely be set up as "invisible"

He changed his online status to invisible, just as I have.... it takes that away and is an individual user setting anyone can adjust....

edit - woohoo!!!! I knew something sjm didn't!!!! :p

All it means is that Deno finally figured out how to sign on under the "invisible mode". When someone chooses that option, you cannot see them listed at the bottom of the main page when they're signed on and you cannot locate them when they're signed on. It also will not show any recent activity.

Deno discovered that people could tell what threads he was reading (all IPT threads). This came up in a thread not too long ago and I haven't seen him online since. Some suggested he go invisible or not sign on at all.... looks like he opted to change his status to invisible mode.

For the record, I had all of you beat...I'm just more long winded than you guys. :p

if that is the case, then I offer a very public apology to the administrators. As I was wondering if any of the ipt staff or deno in particular had been lurking recently, i looked on his member profile. When I saw that it was left blank, I searched quite a few more members, and all of them showed recent activity dates.

If true, I am sorry. Thanks stu for setting that straight.

Ross, you're my idol!

Seeing as we are on the topic of missing in action. I've noticed that curtain members can no longer be seen in members list...don't come up in banned list...but if you can find a old posting of them you can search other postings.

I suspect these individuals have asked to be removed. Expunged from the record or so to speak.

Some were banned and Mike deleted their account. Some asked to have their account deleted. Fred Agnir asked Mike to delete his account last yr and then Bruce de lis aka pool sleuth asked shortly there after.... Mike stated that from now on he would not delete an account... if people didn't want to come on here, that was fine but he wasn't going to do so anymore. (he did do one or two more but never stated why)

Bernie used to be the Silencer and he was banned and Mike deleted the account.

To paraphrase one of the greats...a riddle wrapped in a mystery inside an enigma. Who do you least like on the board (think ignore list)? Now go find him.

Nick

does he still post here? The first few days i saw name next to blank posts. Now nothing. I thought i found a new way to ELIMINATE people from off the face of the earth.

I was really going to start to expand my ignore list with my magic computer.

Ah Timberly...knower of all that is true and great...I thank you. Maybe the next time someone deletes their past we can re-up their account and play God with their web presence. "Hi I'm Pool Sleuth and I promise to only post once a week...ok twice".

LOL. If you know what the persons screen name used to be you can usually find it by typing that name in the search box. It brought up threads started by the Silencer when I did it... it's the only way I know of to find them and you have to dig for them.

sjm,
Glad to see you are updating your preferences. Ross is DEFINITELY a better one pocket player than your last idol - Charles Dickens (what a banger).

Maybe so, but that's only because there were no bar tables in the Victorian opium dens.

So now Deno has gone into hiding. Soon he will have to move with no forwarding address. Maybe go into the IPT Protected Witness program.
