pressure

If you want to stay closer in the city, Pressure Billiards is a nice place to play...and they have food + a full bar. I'll be in there right after Xmas.

Pressure is a great place. It not the easiest place to get to. parking is an issue and it's expensive.
We all seem to be leaning toward Red Shoes. Great parking it's jus off of
294 and a ton of top players hang out there. Freddie the beard may even pop in. The ownr John and John are both good guys.. Nothing set in stone yetso please feel fee to give us your input.

I'd vote for Red Shoes.

Parking is hard to find around Chris's.

I agree red shoes or Chris's, and on another note,

Many don't realize there's a huge parking lot just to the south of Chris's, it's for a funeral home, but Chris's customers are allowed to use it. They have little parking passes to put on your window.

Chris's, shoes or pyramid are all good places . Chris's doesn't sell alchohl but you can byob. If I can do anythingn to help out getting it together let me know

You got me...
but I'll leave my post::grin:

wow! Is that a greyhound bus ticket or an airline flight?

Airline flight Joey, and that's coming from Seattle.

If you use your browser's "incognito" mode, you actually get better deals on websites like Kayak, Travelocity, etc. by the hundreds. When you don't, it uses your location and shafts you on how good of a deal you can get.

Strongly suggest doing this when you're booking!

That may be the best thing about Chris's with the exception of the carom tables..

So how do you get into the "incognito" mode with your browser?
I'm going to try and figure that out. I'm guessing that you just can't be "logged in" and that most of us have our browser settings as logged in all of the time and we just have to log out. Anyway, please post the answer to that for those of us who just don't know what the browser incognito mode is.

THANKS!

If you're using Google Chrome:

Click on the "Customize and control Google Chrome" button in the top-right of your browser. Choose, "New Incognito Window"

Or CTRL+SHIFT+N should open a new Incognito window

For Firefox: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/private-browsing-browse-web-without-saving-info

For IE: Internet Explorer InPrivate
InPrivate can be opened by pressing Ctrl+Shift+P or by selecting "InPrivate Browsing" from the "Tools" menu. If you don't see the menu, press Alt to reveal it.

For Safari (Mac users): Safari Private Browsing
To launch Safari's private mode you'll need to click on "Safari" in the menu bar and select "Private Browsing..."

For Opera users: Opera Private
Opera allows you to open either a private tab or window (the rest are all separate windows). You can right click on the new tab icon and select "New Private Tab" from the context menu. New private windows can be launched with the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+N. You'll also find both options in the "Tabs and Windows" section of the Opera menu (the giant red "O" in the upper left-hand corner).

Thanks!

Ahhh, I just realized that if I RIGHT-CLICK my Explorer Icon it will allow me to go into In private browsing. If you do that, apparently the other websites do not recognize you so you would have to put in your log in id and password or opt out of the In Private browsing feature.

Learned a new trick today. Thanks Evan!

I vote red shoes. I've always wanted to play there but have never made it out. My other idea of pro-Tyme billiards sadly appears to be out. I called there today to see if they had somethin I wanted in the pro shop, but apparently they have closed permanently. Really sad! That is the 2nd place to close around me in a year. It was a very nice hall too.

You will definitely be a shoe in for farthest traveled. Red Shoes is just off of 294 toll way. You exit at Cisero exit. I will give you detailed instructions s we get closer t you can google red Shoes billiards. I will be in touch.thanks for your respond.

let me know when I will try and make it. I play out of both Red shoes and Pockets. Both are good rooms. If we have a large bar box crowd Pockets is a option 10 9 footers and 15 bar boxes. red shoes has about 14 9 foot, and 2 bar box.

Red Shoes would get my vote as well. John runs the best pool hall in the entire Chicago region. If it's there count me in...

I love it when a plan comes together

I think this puts us at 18 members planning to attend.
Please keep expressing your prefrence for location so we can contact them for any special offers they may have.

Also anyone who wants to be a part of the planning, please contact me or AZ members Tro or Kobachi.

any other members?

Red Shoes is in the frontrunner. Still looking for more Chicagoans who might want to meet up for a few games, a few beers , and a few new old friends.
