Jeeves posted about these Pool Halls close to the Billiards Expo. If anyone is still interested in a AZ Billiards mini tournament please reply. I do not think this would be a conflict with Allen's event if we play at a pool hall.
I am thinking this would work best for Wed. Thur. or Fri. Please post your preference on the day to play. We could meet up at Chris Burnes booth to sign up if it is still OK with him. I have a rental car if anyone needs a lift, we can also setup a carpool if needed. I will also try to check with Allen or Dawn if it is OK with them for us to get together at the Expo to meet, or possibly play at the Expo. I prefer a local pool hall myself since smoking is not allowed inside from what I heard:mad:

I would definitely be down to meet up with some of you guys. I'll be there looking aggressively for a replacement cue to retire my old production viking.

Wednesday works for me

Disregard the title. I had a brain fart. I'll be there Thursday, so I’m in for a Thursday get together.

I just spoke with Dawn Hopkins about an AZ mini tournament. It is OK with Dawn as long as a person is not profiting from the tournament. Dawn said that tables are available after midnight to use for $10 each and this would not be a problem for her if we get together to shoot. Dawn never heard of AZ Billiards website which kind of surprised me. So the tournament is on please post if you are interested in playing. Does anyone have a bracket sheet to use for the tournament ? I can check at my poolhall tonight if they have any I can get from them. If all goes well maybe we can have multiple tournaments if anyone is interested :)

AZ Billiards Mini 8 ball tournament is on !!!8 ball tournament
$20 buy in double elimination
Race to 3 games
BCA rules
Thursday night 3/15/07 when tables open up after midnight.

Sign me up!!! I'm SOOOOOOOOO there!

It'll be worth the 20 bucks, just to meet a bunch of AZB'ers in one place!

I have some interest, but not sure if I can make it out on a reg. week night.

I would love to get together as well.

I'm in I'll just have to have someone inform me on BCA rules, but count me in.

BCA is basically the same as APA rules accept you call your shots no slop.
BCA...APA....it matters not, to me.

I'm just thrilled there's gonna be some 8-ball played up there this year!!

I should be able to make it, as long as I get back to the hotel from dinner early enough.

I could do the sheets for you guys with the AZ Billiard Logo.

In Microsoft Word format. 16, 24, 32 players in one single sheet. Single or Double elimination. Your choice.

Just let me know.

I am still in for getting together or signing up in my booth. It is #20 in the lower level. What time did everyone want to start playing? Chris.

I think we'll have to wait until after midnight on Thursday. I suppose, though, it'll depend on how long the sanctioned tourney runs.

Either way, I'm all about it. 20 bucks for at least 10 games with the AZB crew.....that's more than I'll probably last at the 9-ball tourney that day!!! :) :)

Looking forward to meeting you too, Mr. Byrne.

The main thing is to be able to meet at the Expo. We can play there on the tables after the tournament, or take it to a local pool hall. I'm up to playing anywhere. Once we meet we can finalize the details there. How about we meet at Chris Byrne's booth to finalize the details on Thurday
at 2:00 pm if that is OK with Chris. If you can't be there at 2:00 pm you can stop by the booth to find out what was decided. Right now I am planning on playing on the tournament tables after hours. But if this is to late for everyone, maybe we could car pool to a local pool hall. I have never been to the billiards expo before, and do not know if alcoholic drinks are available or if it is even allowed in the tournament area after hours. I heard smoking is not allowed. This is why I want to leave our options open to where everyone wants to play and we can have the most fun. Without being restricted by any rules they might have. Maybe we can get some opinions from people who were there and knows more than I do. juegabillar is bringing the bracket sheets.

It doesn't matter where we shoot PA is a non smoking state. You'll have to take it outside. A beer or 2 would be nice though. Maybe since it'll be after hours we can just BYOB

Warning, Warning!

I will be there Friday afternoon thru Sunday. I will be available for autographs near Bluds booth. So, if you know any pros or celebreties who are willing to sign my book, bring em on by.:D
Looking foreward to meeting many of you folks.
Peace, Purdman:cool:

8 ball rat, bring your best game buddy!

I'm the houseman at Drexeline Billiards and will be working on Thurs and Fri nights. If you guys wanna set something up, call the pool room at 610-259-9144 and talk to Bob Maidhof, the owner. I'm sure he would be happy to host whatever you guys would want to have and I'm willing to stay open if it runs past 2am. O, and there is smoking allowed in Drexeline Billiards. Philadelphia is smoke-free, not the whole state. Just no alcohol.

I'll see if I can dig it out from the pits of hell, where it seems to have taken a vacation, sir!!! :) Just ask Myron....my last showing was what I would call "a little less than stellar."

Regardless of whether or not I get my a$$ handed to me (in both tourneys), it's gonna be a good time, for sure!!!

Looking forward to seeing you and Mrs. P again, sir. Give her my best, and we'll see ya there!
