AZ use to be mostly Pool n Cue Sports

Apparently you are anti free speech, I just think NPR needs to go.

Use to belong to firearms forum, easy rules was FIREARMS & RELATED ITEMS.

Discussion of News, Politics, or anything else was one warning, then the boot.
Anti free speech? You're ridiculous. I'm all for free speech, as long as it's done in the right time and place.

Not anti-free speech... anti-dumbass...

Most forums have a section for off topic discussions. NPR may have became mostly political, but you can still create a thread there about pretty much anything.

You are doing an awful lot of bitching considering you have posted in NPR and a lot on the topic of covid and politics.
Pretty hilarious how ignorant cookoo is.

And now he wants a sub-forum for each state?

He's the gift that keeps giving turds.

Poolrooms are the most diverse places on earth.
That is their beauty.
In pool we all approach the table as equals. It's the most "all men are created equal" sport in existence. It wasn't always this way in the past, but thankfully we are getting closer each day. :)

Two competitors step up to the table and stand on their own merits, regardless of nationality, gender, race, money, body type, etc. It's just one more beautiful aspect to this game. Two people who respect the game, no matter how different, can find a common ground in pool.

I like how Fats talked about playing royalty and such. Here's a kid grown up poor as could be playing with royalty, respected as an equal. There's probably a thousand stories that are similar. Pool, the great equalizer.

unfortunately some censorship is necessary when you can’t choose those who live in your world. If you can’t toss em out, keep em quiet - Abraham Lincoln

Pool rooms use to be about Pool.
UNFORTUNATELY
Things change

I agree, Michael...the majority of my action was in rooms that didn’t even have a radio.
We used to make our own entertainment...some of the game making was a great show.
People like to hear those stories today on AZ...but you can’t tell them in most pool halls..
...because nobody an hear them over the noise pollution.

I used to catch a bit of hell when I worked in the pool room coz I put mtv on the tv.

That was the only e-sound available.

If you do not want to see those posts at all, you're doing it wrong. You should "Follow" the forums you want to read. Your main page to see the forums should be your "followed forums" page. It will show you only the forums you follow and whether there are new posts in each forum. You can avoid NPR entirely that way.
That requires discipline to not hear the siren of the NPR calling.

Since I don't possess such, I had Mike configure my account so it doesn't even appear in the menu. There is no link to click that will bring me there.

Why? Because I used to enjoy exchanging ideas but at this point I don't want to even hear the drivel from the left. They have lost their minds and I simply can't stand them any longer. Time for a national divorce. (Got my rant in there)

I love this. Right on!

Content?

You mean antivax lunacy, racism, anti gay sentiment, outrageous conspiracy spam from alt sources and general intolerance.

Some of you people have over 100k posts of nothing more than copy and paste hot garbage. It’s a hate platform.

He tried to curb politics and most of you melted down over the request forcing Mike to make a full time job of policing the posts and administering temporary bans to those refusing to play by the rules of his forum.

That entire sub section needs to be removed. It’s a black eye on AZ and of no benefit to billiards at all.

it's a great place full of love and compassion that you apparently have failed to see.

Pool is a nice subject for awhile but folks need a break and if we post something positive and later want to discuss
something political it does no damage to anyone else but us.

For the record one of the biggest problems was that the moment you disagree with any of the copy and paste kingpins there you’ll automatically be labeled a communist socialist liberal apologist nazi.

I’ve never voted for a dem a day in my life but ask anyone of those spammers in there and they’ll tell you I have a portrait of Obama above my portrait of Hillary next my bust of Biden.
