AZB King of Cali...

I checked and I will be in town that sunday.

How about that Saturday? If not, the weekend after is open, Saturday or Sunday.

I'll be able to play that Sunday after all.

Jaden.

I'm sure I could benefit from taking lessons from louis. He's gotten to where I could only hope to ever get to.

I Wasn't The One Stirring Up Action!!!!!

Sorry didn't mean that to be a quote of Jay's post

THIS has turned into a JOKE!!!!!

I hate that people are coming into this thread and reading it completely out of context.

Yes, I have talked up my game on here. Everything that I have said has been true. I don't want to say anything about Dan Wallace because it's only been other people on here talking for him and I won't say anything against him unless he comes on and says it himself.

This has put many people into a corner and I'm sorry for that.

Hillary you are talking and laughing out of your ass because you just don't know. The real players aren't the ones claiming that I am not even close to the other A players in San Diego. Johannes and I played some snooker and some nineball. I ended up losing some money to him. After we went hill-hill playing nineball we were talking about spots and how at higher level play they are only really good for confidence boosts and he said that until he played me at snooker that he didn't know how good I was. I still lost playing a dollar a point after about five games about 100 dollars, so I was playing at about 20 points a game less than johannes at snooker.

I would not have even been saying any of this stuff had my ability not been questioned so it's unfair to have escalated this to this level, when all I was doing was trying to participate in an event that some AZer's got together to hold.

I'm almost to the point of doing things that might get me banned to be done with it.

Jaden.

This thread is like a train wreck... I don't want to keep watching, but I can't help myself.

Jaden FWIW,

Seriously, don't sweat what other people think; in the bigger scheme of life it really doesn't matter...

It's too bad this thread wandered off the way it has. This is the way I got things started here. http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=105649

I've got a match tonight against someone I've never met and I have to say win or lose I am very psyched. There are also some very good local players interested in what is happening and hopefully I'll get a chance to play them as well.

This format offers something for everyone. For those who love to compete and do not gamble regularly, or don't like the late nights of league or the 14 hour day tournament thing, this is perfect. For those who like to gamble, you have folks showing up at your home pool hall with $50 at a time of your choosing. It's also a fun way to meet other posters.

At any rate, maybe a new thread in the Action Room forum could get things going on the right track. This could be a very cool and fun thing to do! :D

"The real players"? Who are the "real players"?

I guess I don't know any, "real players" considering in the past I did help run the Swannee tournament, the US Bar Table Chamionships, wrote a few articles for Inside Pool, On The Wire Newspaper, azbilliards AND recently did some commentating for TAR. I guess that doesn't qualify me to know any, "real players".

I don't think Dan is going to flatter you by responding to this thread. Talk to him yourself next time you have the opportunity:).

Damn, I wish I had some peanuts or pennies to throw:rolleyes: .

Is this officail then?

Jaden.

Is this a date, then? Action Challenge Part DEUX?

"Not for any amount of money, but for the LOVE of the Game!"

Are the TAR guys still in CALI? Maybe, we (AZBers) can send in some money to the TAR to make this event a live feed. (to help with the expenses) :grin-square:

Anyone up for this?

I really want watch how this Jayden guys plays...

I am confused, Jayden... Just who are these "Real Players" that you are referring to? Who gives you the authority to declare one Real or Not?

Are you referring to other posters to this thread as a "player impostor"?

Or are there different level to the player meter?

non-player
Player wanna -B
Player- I think not...
Player-only in your dreams!
Player...no not yet
REAL PLAYER?

LOL.

1st AZ King of Cali match is over

Yesterday I was able to meet up with Jaden for some fun. We played
a race to 9 playing 10 ball and a Race to 3 playing One Pocket.
I was lucky enough to win both sets.

It was alot of fun and I think Jaden and I will get together and practice some from time to time. He played well and was not a slouch at all. A couple of different rolls and balls on the break and I would have been on the losing end.
Overall I thought our play was good. I thought that I played well but not perfect and the same with Jaden.

It was fun and I wish we had more time but he had school and I had work.
We played in the spirit at which it was meant to be played. We played pool, tried hard and had fun.

So now I guess I need to arrange my first dethroning The winner of our match was challenged by Russ ( poolhustler ).

Thanks Jaden for the games and fun. It was good to meet you. By the way you left your tooting horn at Shooters j/k
Look forward to practicing some.

Good !!

I am booked working with my boss this week. I beleive I am playing in the 14.1 at HTs this weekend.
Give me two matches and I will be free to play :embarrassed2:

Well hopefully not but this will be my first ever 14.1 event.

Does HTs this weekend work. Not sure where you live or whats near you.
Any room works for me. I can combine work and have it all work out. I cover all of SoCal with my job so its easy. Plus I don't pay for gas with my company vehicle.

Let me know ..... Damn now I have to go practice !!

Is the tourney both Sat and Sun?? I can make Sunday, not so sure about Saturday. I'll PM you my cell # and we can work out the details.

And trust me when I tell you that you won't need much practice in order to beat me!!!

Congrats Frank.

You must be a stone cold player to knock off both sets. My gawd, your place on the totem pole just jumped up a few notches. I kept reading how well this cat played and I gave you no chance.

Must be good to catch lightning in a bottle once in a blue moon, huh?;)

Jaden plays well and I think he overspoke here on the forum. He, like the
rest of us, gets frustrated with inconsistent play. We have all been there.
Some days knocking on the door of the next plateau and others not being able to touch our own ass.

As for me... I rate myself as a high B to low A. I have some moments but they are far to inconsistent. I do believe that I know how to fix some
of it. I just have to drop a bunch of weight. I tend to get the cue out beside me and then not stroke straight.

I know all of the guys mentioned in the "firey" posts and I can say that I have beat some of them and lost to all of them. Sam Manole plays great and even better against me !!! :D He takes that heavy ass cue out and whoops my ass. But I am getting closer. When I do upset someone like
Sam, Corey, Hemmah or any of the other op players here in SoCal I would like to know that I played well to do so. I beat Fransisco Galieno a few months ago in a tourney and in the first 5 games I shot 6 times to win 4
games. i knew that I was lucky and nothing more. I did run out from the
1 in the last game after a miscue (again lucky).

As for the posts I thought it was a bit much to call someone out if they are overclocking their own game. It just got out of hand. He isn't that bad of a guy.

When are you going to be king of Tenn or Knoxvegas?

I still love Scotty Ts line once. We were in PC Bch and he was pretty hammered. A few people were talking about some side action when one of them said that ST might have a flashback and start running out. ST hearing this strolls over and said like only ST can .." Fusk a flash back I am going to have a flash forward !! I hear I hit them pretty good next week!!"

It is time to end this.

After reassessing my game in a serious manner I have come to the conclusion that I have overstepped my ability and I need to eat a couple of bowls of.... humble soup.JPG

A couple of people that I considered friends were called and bothered during a time that neither of them should have and while I didn't do the bothering, it was a direct result of things that I have said.

I interpreted some things that were said to me and some occasional stellar play in a wrong way and allowed my misinterpretation of it to send my ego into the stratosphere. Now those things that were said to me have been slightly misrepresented here but that doesn't matter, I can understand that it was done because I needed a serious reality check and needed to drink a cup of this....
how-about-a-nice-cup-of-shut-the-fuck-up2.JPG

I apologize to anyone I offended and especially Dan W. and Frank Dabarbr.

p.s. I will still play Melinda, but unfortunately I don't know if I'll be able to do it on a weekend or exactly when I will do it. You see as usual I opened my mouth and inserted a dump truck.

I wanted to go play FrankinCali so that I wouldn't appear to be abcking out and my wife didn't want me to go. So thinking in my mind that I would railroad him and he would come on and clear this mess up, I told my wife that I wouldn't do anything pool related for the rest of the year if she would let me go.

She relented and I went and wasn't able to pull it together long enough to win. She did say that I can still do pool related things twice a week but not on the weekends. When I give my word I mean it, so I can't in good conscience ask her to give more than that. So if it absolutely has to be on the weekend I won't be able to do it this year.

I'm going to ask Louis if he'll give me some lessons and try to get past my mental block that keeps me from staying focused and on my game.

If Hillary called Dan to ask about this, I really hope she didn't know what Dan was doing.

If Corey called Frank Dabarbr to ask about this I really hope he didn't know what Frank was doing.

I hate that my actions caused both of them to be bothered when neither one should've been worrying about what was going on here on the forum.

That one time you and I played, if I remember correctly, I'd make a mistake early in the rack and then watch you run-out. This happened over and over and over and over. IMO, 'bama can play!

Oh, needless to say, I got drilled.

I have have a strong feeling that I will get drilled also Corey!!

But it's all good fun and a learning experience for me.

I just love to play!!
