AZB LOGO contest

a logo for az billiards can be put in place of the vBulletin logo at the top of the page

i thought it might be a neat idea to have everybody that wanted to turn in a logo design

and after a certain amount of time we could have a main forum vote as to which logo to use

what do you'all think??????

I am sure I can find something around here that can be given out as a prize.

I think we will run the contest from now until Feb 15th.

The image can be gif or jpg. At least 80 pixels high and less than 400 pixels wide.

yes, and you can lengthen it as well

i think mike is just trying to keep it height wise from taking up too much of the screen by limiting it to 85pix

I didn't know if you wanted them to be easily reproduced for banners and so forth so I did a couple of simple ones with basic colors. Actually, I just wanted to participate. I can't wait to see what the real artists come up with. It will be a blast to watch this thread!

They are both very good! Just need to be polished up using the right software.

Almost as good as my submission in the Un-official logo thread

Suggestions:
We'll need to know the dimensions and format(jpeg?).
Deadlines(A submission date, B voting date)

We'll need a full set of rules like:
No use of copyrighted material.
All entries should be released to AZ(logo's no good if you don't own it)?
All should be in good taste(sorry Smorg)
All entries submitted by email and displayed anonymously by AZ this will help in making sure the Logo everyone picks will be an honest choice that doesn`t come down to a popularity contest.
Probably should collect all entries until deadline A and display all at once and have voting until deadline B and presto, you have a winner.


I'm sure there are a lot more suggestions that will be made and that will help make this really easy to put together.

I just took the time to draw them in MS Paint. I do have the BMP version if you want it to clean it up. I don't really spend enough time in Paint Shop to really be proficient at it. I did use Paint Shop to convert it this time...Hopefully it cleared it up some. Anyone who wants to redo it, by all means go ahead. It was really just for fun anyway. The real artists will shine soon enough I'm sure!
