AZB Logo Contest

When I first discovered AzBilliards website, I had thought that the A-z in "AzBilliards" stood for the State of Arizona. I don't know if that stems from the website's origin, but if it is, then maybe a color scheme of desert colors and a Santa Fe-type logo would be nice.

However, the past several years, the AzBilliards website has grown to be more national/international in scope, having membership from across the globe. The Main Page to me is like a pool newspaper, keeping me up to date on the pool news. The tournament schedule is a great tool for pool players to find out about upcoming events. :D

Since I have been posting on AzBilliards, several people told me that the A-z in AzBilliards meant the "A to Z" of billiards. If this is the case, then the sky is the limit on a logo design. A color scheme would be nice. I'm partial to green and purple! :eek:

If and when the new additions to the forum are added, I hope it does not slow it down in any way because of the graphics, for the dinosaurs like me on dial-ups at home.:o

Hi JAM,
I always thought that the AZ was meant to represent comprehensive coverage of billiard sports, as in the A to Z of Billiards. An alternative to e-billiards or i-billiards when trying to obtain domain names. I may be wrong though.

I missed that with a quick glance as I am sure others have to.
Thanks for making Colin's statement that much clearer for all of us.

It's sort of taken on that meaning. However, the "AZ" was originally meant as the state abbreviation for Arizona.
 
I am in no way artistic - more autistic! But I played with different fonts and came up with several fun things...no way as nice as the ones posted in another thread by Donovan and Jeff. Those are great!

WOW, you guys have some very nice designs! We have some very artistic people on this site.;)

I am in the process of designing an AZ logo myself, I will post it ASAP.

Mike(AZHP) , are you interested in having a catch phrase implemented in the logo?

designers might want to wait now until mike decides on a theme since it looks like he is going that route thru "iacas" / eric, which i think is a neat idea.
after the theme is decided on then you would better know how to design your logo to fit within the style.

Iconcue attempted to permanently ban me for his own personal reasons of dislike towards me. He also edited my signature, but I put it back up.

Colin, I'm flattered that you would include me in your entry, but why is Drivermaker staring at my chest???

Well that was the only headshot I had of DM and it seems to naturally drift towards female chests for some reason I can't figure:confused:

and it was not personal.
 
I think you too, that being iconcue & Sweet Marissa should kiss, & make up, or take your war of words to private messages. IMO.
