From looking at that page, I would think it was available on DVD. Let me look.1994 US Open 9 ball - Tape # 199B-03 - pg 136 of the online 2022 catalog. Greg Fix vs Dave Matlock 13 - 4 score

Thanks Eric. And I couldn't agree more. Some of those old matches are so good the quality isn’t that important. The fact we have them and they are not lost in the wind is more important than sharp edges on the videos. Same commentary, listening to some of the old commentary is more important than 4K resolution.
Want 4K? Go watch new matches.
Good luck with everything Mike![]()
I agree -- so many of the old timers Pat used as part time commentators are no longer with us. Not to mention regular commentators like Grady Mathews. No offense to Mark Wilson, but geez the personality bar got set so pretty damn high in the early years, it is tough for anyone to follow. Pretty much only Billy I and Danny D are characters left from those early years I believe. Some of those old matches are so good the quality isn’t that important. There’s one video with cornbread and Buddy doing commentary. I’ll dig it up tonight and post it in this thread. I agree, sadly a lot of pools history is locked in a vault somewhere. I’d rather have a poor quality version of an old 80s match where Mizerak was near his prime than nothing at all. Some of those old matches are so good the quality isn’t that important. As would most of us who are over 50 years old. Which makes up the majority of the market for the old matches anyways.I agree, sadly a lot of pools history is locked in a vault somewhere. I’d rather have a poor quality version of an old 80s match where Mizerak was near his prime than nothing at all.
I’m a bit shy of that. 38 and counting. But I’m a history nut. If someone found lost footage of Greenleaf, Caras, Ponzi or Mosconi, I’d faint. As would most of us who are over 50 years old. Which makes up the majority of the market for the old matches anyways.
As a growing up young pool player Ralph was my favorite player, I couldn't believe when I read he drank as much as he did, most of the people I looked up to drank their alcohol... Some of us can use outside influence to make the stroke, Just never thought of it that way... Keep up the good comments, GuyCongrats Mike, this content couldn't have a better home.

Mike
Damn, he posts a lot. I'm not even familiar with this event. From an AzB standpoint, I wish we could get coverage of events like this. They just don't seem to want to promote them in the states.Mike, Thomas Heal has a youtube channel. YOUKU does the Joy Cup Heyball World Masters, From China ... Guy
I can wish, it's well worth the effort, I being stuck at home and an old man, I watch many thousands of sets. With Chinese pool i can see and get involved in the games if not I think they would get boring. I loving pool will often go back for UK and our events. There is no comparison, the quality. This allows the vewiers to get involved in the game, this is a must... Mike I have my favorite players and I don't use commentary... I'm in my eighties and my seventy plus years of pool, Pocket Billiards, I'm still here... The best of Luck to you and I know you're going to need it... Guy . Mike here is something else, Ian Andersen of WPA ( WPBA ) Could help you with this, I know ORANGE FORK Productions in the UK comes close...Damn, he posts a lot. I'm not even familiar with this event. Done & done! Please take a moment and subscribe to the accu-stats YouTube channel.
Thanks buddy. When are you getting back out there and doing some streaming?Late reply but awesome stuff. Glad it is in Mikes hands. Thank you Accu-Stats.
I still have my equipment but its collecting dust. So busy with the bar/poolroom that I don't have much free time. Might try and do something at our place so I don't have to travel. That might work. I still have that $200,000 match with Frost and Orcollo in the can, don't want to upload it to YouTube as it has background music and will get flagged. Let me know if its something you can do something with here or wherever it won't be muted. I think alot of people would enjoy the match but its very long going over 3 days. Thanks buddy. When are you getting back out there and doing some streaming?
