So I was just looking on the player profiles section on the main page to see how much $$$ the pro's actually made this year compared to my working self. After seeing how little they actually make I decided to look though the player finder/profile list and found that it's full of amateur players as well as pro players. Once I got done looking at my stats for the year so far (over $3k) I randomly pick some names as it lists a full history of tournaments that person has ever cashed in (and of course I’m nosy:grin
.
So, I notice in my own profile that I have no AZB Player rank yet some random name I pick that has $0 won this year or last from tournaments has a ranking including a change in that rank of over 1000 places since last week!
Now that got me wondering, why wouldn’t my profile have a player rank? Who exactly maintains these stats and what would cause someone to jump over 1000 places on the list when not winning anything? Are these rankings actually used for anything or by anyone?
