AZB room at Super Billiards Expo!!

It's GREAT to see some excitement outta you guys! I've sent Dawn an email explaining that we don't have a budget per se. Once we know the cost of the room then we'll figure out how much will be needed per person. As soon as I hear back from her, I'll let you guys know. Ya'll keep your fingers crossed that this comes to fruition. I would love to get the room that Eric mentioned. It's RIGHT there by the Expo entrance, one of the bars, and the front doors for the smokers to go outside. It's a perfect location.
 
Yes it is!

I remember, maybe 7 or eight years ago, 10 of the cuemakers and myself went out for supper after the show was ending. When we came back we wound up in that room and stayed until they came and took the pool tables out! It was a blast, Scott Smith was hilarious, telling jokes, stories, and pulling a few hustler tricks on some girls that didn't know what they were doing!

This is normally where they hold their Post SBE party for the workers. So, I don't know what the logistics would be to move us out and move them in.

hmmm instead of bumping it, why can't you make it like the derby city section, you know all the stuff in one tidy little fourm drawer. Now wouldn't that be super.

Only the mods can make it a sticky. Until I hear back from Dawn and we know if we can get a room & what the cost will be, might as well leave it be. If we know for sure we're going to get a feasible room, then I'll definitely ask for a sticky. Thanks Mrs G ;)
 
Jack Justis

Unfortunately Jack Justis will not be attending the EXPO this yr... fortunately for him, he's supposed to be a grandpa (again) on March 17th which is right in the middle of the EXPO. Congrats Jack! :)

Being the great guy that he is, Jack has graciously offered to make & donate a special RoadRunner case for the EXPO, just like he did for the DCC.

Thank you Jack for the gracious offer and if we're able to get the room, we're definitely going to take you up on this offer. I think the fair thing to do is to do it the way we did with the DCC case.... everyone that contributes towards the room will be eligible to win the case. You will not need to be present to win. All the contributors names will be entered into the drawing.

Thank you again Jack! Ya'll keep your fingers crossed that we're able to make this room happen. ;)

Ahhh yes...

I am making my list. They will be made with the ole 1923 Quality gas range that came with the house we bought 20 years ago.

I have a love/hate relationship with this antique and will be replacing it with a 48" 6-burner gas top with electric dual ovens. Then I will be able to make 24 lbs of nuts at a time. I just might be getting my own booth next year at the Expo.

Why can't I be the next Mrs. Fields of nuts??? WHY NOT???

I thought about auctioning off my Sherbine cue toward the cost of the room should it happen but do you think it would be better as a raffle item?

Not sure which way to go so any input is welcome.

Koop, whatever you decide to do, it's a very nice gesture! Mull it over wile we wait for an answer on the room.

Just to update you guys, I sent Dawn an email two days ago and I'm still waiting on a response. I'm sure that both she & Allen are getting quite busy with the Expo coming up. As soon as I hear back from her, I'll let you guys know. :)
