As Timberly's surrogate, I feel safe in saying . . . .

"Craig, you weak-tit. I can drink you under the table any day or night of the week! Bring your best game, limey!"

Of course, that is just Timberly talking.....not me.

Or, something like that . . . . :D

Hmmm, well since I no longer drink at pool tournaments (as of today :D ) I shall have to refrain from disproving your wildly incorrect remarks! :p

Well until after the final of course when I shall be making up for lost time!

Timberly, are you associated with rebel!? Does he have permission to stick all sorts of rude things (words ;) ) in your mouth like that?

I'm so tempted to go to this event, Timberely can you sell it to me (I need to justify it to myself - doesnt usually take much lol!)

:D
Tempted??? I thought it was a done deal?!?! Lee Chenman says he's going & you said you were going with him!

(sigh) Ok, if you must be sold on the idea... I shall be bringing a cooler which will have beer and Baja Rosa (strawberry liqueur) which is awesome! ;) For icing on the cake, I will allow you to spot me the 3 out... believe me when I tell you that game...you've got the nuts! :p

The "rebel" & I have shared a drink or two in the past so he's quite qualified to speak on my behalf for these matters. If you'll remember Cambridge correctly, you'll know that he's right... I definitely drank you under the table that Sat night. It's up to you if you want to try to redeem yourself or not... :p

I am hoping to go, just need a small nudge ;)

Timberly have you heard anything from Dawn yet. I was tempted to ask Allen about it at Snookers this past weekend but he looked to be playing great pool and didn't want to take a chance in messing that up for him.

I heard the same thing about Allen. People were all saying he looked like he had a flashback. All the more reason to be pissed at myself for missing it.

Here's the email that I got from Dawn today...

The Gettysburg room is not an option as we have registration in there over the weekend on Friday and Saturday. I will contact the convention center and see how much a room will be for about the amount of people you are expecting. As for the table, I suggest you contact Diamond directly. They gave you the table at Derby City so maybe they would be willing to help you out at the expo. It was easier for them to do that there since they are a table company and we are not.

We're at square one. I've got a friend that's in pretty good with the folks at the Radisson & I'm thinking of having him call them to see what kind of price they'll give us. Once I have the room availability confirmed, I'll need to call Greg about the tables.

I just left a voice mail for my buddy, hopefully he'll get back to me soon. If he doesn't have a personal contact, I'll call the Radisson and ask for the mgr. I'll do this tomorrow afternoon & let you guys know.

Shoot Timberly,

I forgot that the Juniors register that morning for their events.

Maybe you could have your friend see about one of those conference rooms just in the hallway from the Blue Grotto restaurant into the long hallway leading to the Radisson. And bathrooms are right there, too.

Those conference rooms are big rooms. If you talk to Greg Sullivan and the Diamond people, tell them I'll donate some of my nuts for their effort.

I just wanted to take a sec to thank Eydie for offering to do some of the leg work for me on this. I've never set anything like this up before and I'm in the middle of job hunting and interviewing which cuts into what little free time I have. Eydie, having put on large tournaments such as the Windy City Open and The Midwest Expo, has much more know how and a little more free time during business hours to contact people.

Once I hear back from my buddy as far as a contact goes, Eydie is going to help make those calls during the day while I'm at work. She knows what to say & what to ask for much better than I do!

Eydie, thank you for the offer of your time and expertise. It's greatly appreciated. :)

There have been many of you that have offered your help both here in the thread and in PM's. Thank you all for your offers and some of you just might be called upon to help out before it's all said & done. ;)

About the Gettysberg room...

http://www.scanticonvalleyforge.com/gburgb.html

I saw on the website that the room can be split in two. Each side is about 1300 sq. feet, which is about the size of a small ranch house. If registration is in the front half of the room(I can't remember if they use the whole room), we can rent the back half. BTW, 1300 sq. ft wworks out to a 30' x 45' room...

Eric >maybe we should just take over the bar
