Well, here it is. We decided that the intended raffle would be too time-consuming, and not generate enough income.

We will now officially auction off this banner - all proceeds to go towards the AZB room at the 2008 DCC. Just post your bid here; highest bid as of October 1st gets the banner (highest bid as of midnight eastern time on September 30th). No paypal, no credit cards. Just post your bid on this thread; I'll check it at the end of September and arrange payment and shipping. I don't have the exact measurements (Timberly still has it) - it's about 2 feet by 4 feet.

CLARIFICATION: Bids must be AT LEAST $25 higher than previous bids to be valid. We don't want people bidding just a penny more than a previous poster; and we want to encourage people to bid early. Also, the winning bidder will receive free playing privileges in the 2008 AZB Room at DCC. Thanks.

I'll start things off; I bid $200. It will be worth it just to keep breakup from getting it ($200 is equal to his lifetime earnings so far....he had a tough 3 years in second grade).

They are quotes, Johnny. Done on a word processing file. They show up as ??? when cut and pasted. Would love to see my friend, Tom "Old Has Been" Ferry's signature there. I sure miss him.

I believe I may have Tom's signature on the larger room banner. We have had it up the past 2 years, and have had the AZB members sign that banner. It will be up again this year; someone can take a photo.

Steve Lomako and I are working on a "Tom Ferry" award/competition for the AZB room this year (2008 DCC - we keep track of years using "DCC time"). Will you be joining the festivities?

Stop-man,
I have no clue in the world what ebay is about; and no clue how to accomplish such a feat.

We are not out to make a fortune; just to defray the cost of the room. It is very possible that the banner will be much more meaningful to forum members (especially those that have participated).

If you know how to "link it over to ebay", knock yourself out.
 
LOL, sorry for the idea. Ha... It just seemed it would be much easier both in terms of being sure the high bidder wins (not loosing track of bids) and having an automatic link to paypal payments.

I can't link something I don't own. Sorry I mentioned it. Get out your pen and paper. :)

Thanks for your bid......where exactly on the piling do you plan to place the banner? Then of course there is the hygiene issue; those pilings tend to accumulate droppings.
