AZB'ers Metting Up!

To many to list

I have known Mike Howerton for many years. Mike and his girl Ilona along with Carissa Biggs and her boyfirend Steve, Bob and I attend a yearly commedy club at The RIV in May.

I have had the pleasure to meet SJM who is one of the nicest people on earth, Zim and his family, Joey, another favorite Daytona Joe who will be coming to the Windy City Open this year.

John Barton I have known for many many years along with Randy G, Mark Griffin, all the boys at Diamond.

Blackjack and Sweet Marissa, who could forget her! :D

The list is to long to mention all.. A_Susie_Cue is like my little sister. Blud and his family, Chris Cass who was a life long friend of Bob's, we miss him terribly.

There are just to many to list, what wonderful people and great friendships both Bob and I have made over the years of being on this forum!

And then there are the ones who I consider firends who I have not met.

I've met Wally in Cincy. Very strange. ( just kidding, Wally).
And I've tried to hook up with Donald Purdy but so far
it hasn't happened. My fault. Talked to him on phone though.
Also met Old Has Been.

I recently met up with Roel (see pic) who was here (In Shanghai) on business.
We played some pool, drank some beer and I kept him up way past his bed time. A great time was had. Basically the same thing as what I did with 'The One' about 2 months ago when he passed through town.

Roel plays a good game, with one of those crazy loopy philippino cue actions. He didn't tear me a new one, like 'The One' did, but it was getting hard to take games off him by around 3am. I didn't make him drink enough :mad: :p

Anyway, it's cool that guys from here come halfway around the world and catch up with me. It's a small world :D

I do hope to get to the US in the next year or so and meet a few of you in person.

In the mean time, anyone passing through Shanghai, PM me and I'm more than happy to meet up and show you the local hot spots:D

So half a dozen would be 15'ish...

BTW, when it comes to Jim and donuts, I don't think you want to be wasting time asking him how many he ate if you want any. He can eat a half dozen or more while you're asking...
 
The ten AZBers, whom I knew only as posters on this forum, that I met for the first time during WPBA Peoria 2005 were Landshark, Christy D, Woody, Dr Cues Protege, Deanna Michelle, Vagabond, Zeeder, ChefJeff, Wally in Cincy, and Manifest Ecstasy. Also within the past year, I had the pleasure of meeting Onepocketchump at the BCA Open, and TheOne and Nfty9er in NYC. So I've met thirteen AZBers in the past year, not even one of whom lives anywhere near New York.

I met a bunch at the Joss finale and hope to meet even more at Valley Forge in March.

Joss finale I met:
JAM, Keith, Pete LaFond, JAZ and wife, HighEndCues, Roadwarrior, cueball1950. All great people. If I forgot someone I apologize. I'll blame the Bud Selects :D

Sorry, Koop, but Williebetmore and I met in the summer of 2003 through a mutual friend, so you are mistaken. Athe time, I didn't even know he posted here.

Ah,yes, and, prior to her existence on this forum, I met Eydie Romano, then known as Bob Romano, or something like that. Hard to believe I forgot you, Eydie, and I also forgot AZHousepro. I'm truly embarrassed. I'm sorry.

Just joking anyway but nice to hear he wasn't forgotten.

I forgot to mention meeting Jude at the Ocean State event earlier in the year. Great guy and great player.

Oh, that's a bit too cryptic for me! :p

Anyway, getting a ho is a tough process. When you exit the bar, you'll have the task job of trying to sort the selected target from the 10 other girls clutching at your arms, legs and other parts.

Then it's negotiation time, which could range from US$12 -$50. :eek:

Then, keep your eye, or better yet a hand on your wallet. :cool:

I don't know that I can honestly answer the question. The little buggers over here in the MD/DC area... they don't say anything! I had been to two or three tourneys in the area & actually talked to a couple of them & they NEVER said who they were. (says alot about me & what people think of me huh? :rolleyes: ) My pic had been posted here from VF so it's not like they didn't know that I was me... ya know? I'm going to give it a shot... there's one or two that I know are on here but I don't know what name they use.

It seems like I'm missing a couple of people... If I am, I'm sorry! I haven't gotten through my morning coffee yet. WOW, I didn't realize I've met as many people on here as I have. I hope to add to this list by the time I get back from the Open & the Atlanta tourney. I should really be able to add to this list after VF this coming yr.
