AZbilliards Room at DCC?

My understanding is that the room has already been set aside for tournament overflow this year. With the extended races, there is concern that matches will last too long and it will delay the tournament.

Hopefully we can put something together for next year or for tunica this year.

An AZ room in Tunica would be sweet... another reason to go for funsies provided C players are welcome too!

Thanks for the heads up Mike... Glad to hear it was because of the tournament needing space... Still would have loved to have had one but this is a legitimate reason behind it just not being able to happen this year....

Everything is shoehorned in as it is.

If as reported, the "10 by 10 Invitational" is displacing six tournament tables, it only makes sense that they would look to make up the difference somewhere. There is just not any more room at that venue.

It will be missed. Any AZer wanting to meet me will be able to find me quite often at the bar. Maybe we can all get some AZB shirts and wear them on a specific day.

I don't remember saying it quite that way? I don't think I ever suggested not having the room. I was certainly critical of a few things, but overall, I think we would both agree that the new location was a lot more work to manage than the Executive. I suggested maybe putting the tables on time, but I would have liked to still see the room remain as an AZ/1PK room. Folks could just meet up in the room, use their $25 bucks for table time instead of paying in advance.

I know Greg has wanted to get the Derby City Classic sanctioned by whoever the powers are that sanction international events and if the room is needed for this then I guess that is that.
