Here is a Davis blank conversion for a fellow AZer. It has a Maple forearm with Gabon Ebony points and some pretty snazzy old school inlays of mother of pearl notched diamonds and a purple veneered box window in the butt.
Thanx for looking,
Jim Lee

I love old school and this cue looks sharp.

Nice

Very nice cue, it looks like you are doing some fine work Jim.

Beauty

Jim that cue is flat Beautiful. Someone is going to be very happy. I know another guy who would be happy if his turns out like that!

Gorgeous...question though....why would one have a full splice cue made by Davis, only to have it cut to install a handle?

Love it!

All the elements are there:

Classic full-splice blank: Check!
Classic styling: Check!
Notched pearl diamonds: Check!

Nice one Jim. I am also working on one myself and I hope it comes out half as good as yours!

I'll have to start a new post and get some progres pictures up now...

Thanx guys for all the kind words. To answer, this was a forearm from Mr. Davis. So the handle had to be added, was not a full blank. He makes these along with his full splices.
Thanx again,
Jim Lee

Yep- very nice. I love the old-schol style!

Jim- I'm working on a Davis cue now that will need a leather wrap as we discussed quite a while ago...

I am thinking a traditional smooth black calfskin is the way to go...

PM me or reply there if you want. It will be a while yet, as you can see, but I think this wil make a nice first leather wrap cue.
