Dealing with Robert Daniels aka on AZB is daniels.....please pm me if your having issues with him....I have email and addresses and phone numbers.

(Please do not berate me for not having something to sell here I was told to put this here by the AZ moderator)

On February 1st 2013 I advertised a case for sale and Mr Daniels wanted to buy it. He asked me to send him an invoice to him and he would pay for it. I sent him the invoice and he paid and I shipped the case to him the next day.

That is it clear-cut and finished. Well on May 17th 2013 PayPal notified me that there was a chargeback being filed against me by Robert Daniels for the agreed upon amount plus a $20.00 fee from the credit card company.

I sent a pm to Mr Daniels and his response was that he had no idea what it was all about, as it did not show on his PayPal account. After many pm’s he admitted that he knew what it was about. It turns out he used his mothers card to pay for the PayPal invoice. I had no way of knowing how it was paid. His mother called the credit card company and said that her card was charged for something she did not purchase.

After checking into it the credit card company decided that she did not order it from me and the product was not delivered to her so they contacted PayPal and PayPal reversed the payment plus the chargeback fee.

Now during this entire period of time I have been sending pm’s back and forth to Mr. Daniels and he asked me to just wait and see what happened as he was sure that it would turn out alright. He assured me many times that if there was a problem he would pay me back.

Nsafellow sent…… this is not a PayPal issue it is with the credit card you used to pay the invoice I sent to you.

You must have looked at the billing on the card and forgot what it was for and said that you never authorized the charge or someone decided that it was not a good charge.

So you need to contact the credit card co that you paid the invoice with and tell them that the charge was ok'd by you

Daniels responded….They're doing an investigation, it should be complete in 7-10 days

Nsafellow sent….Investigation? Into what, did you tell them you incurred the charge and received the item that you bought?

These things baffle me sometimes. They are so simple.

Daniels responded…. yeah i told them all that but since it wasnt my card, theres not much i can do.. The card holder is saying i didnt pay, so they have to investigate.. It should be a short investigation seeing as how it was all sent to the same address and name of the card holder.. Thank god i had it shipped to card holders addresss and used her name, or i might be ****ed.. Anyways sorry about all this drama..I learned a huge lesson, never use someone elses card cus if they decide to claim fraudulent charges theres nothing u can do in your defense.. i spoke with ebay and paypal and explained what happened and this was the info they passed down to me..

How about you send me the $100 that they just took out again and if they pay me back I will pay you back.

PayPal said that they (the credit card co.) took out the 80 for the charge and then 20 to cover the stop payment that she placed on that charge you made.

PayPal placed a hold on the original 80 because they have to according to the banking rules on mail fraud purchases.

You offered to pay me when this first started, so I am asking you to now. For the amount that the Credit card company has taken out of my PayPal only.

Daniels responded….i was told by paypal not to make any payments untill this gets resolved!! yr moneys just on hold rite? Listen if by some reason they withdrawal the 80 bucks, i have no problem paying u back.. Although its gonna suck paying for that case twice, thats not yr problem... untill then lets just wait it out pls

The credit card co took 80 for the case and 20 for the stop pay fee

That 100 is gone

PayPal took out 80 until it is resolved so I am out 180 total

PayPal said I will get back the 80 that they are holding but the credit card co is keeping the 100???

So I am asking you to pay the 100 and if they pay it back you will get it back the instant it is settled ...if it gets settled.

So we talked on the phone and he kept reassuring me that it would be taken care of.

Ok so here is the result.....the credit card company ruled in favor of your mother so they took back the $80 plus took the $20 that they charge for chargeback fees. If you mother had lost she would have had to pay the $20.

You said you would pay me if they did not return the money as you did receive the case and then sold it.

Here is the message from PayPal that I received today.......

Nsafellow sent….Here is what you sent to me a while back ....read down at the bottom.....and Please don’t be mad at me I am the one out of pocket for the case. I chased down that case when it was stuck at the post office and made sure it got there...I did not just ask you to wait and see what happened. Now I am asking you to do what you said you would do and and just pay me for what I was supposed to get from you.

Daniels response…. and I still stand by that, Its 4th of july weekend and I have 3 kids running around and im a single dad.. All I ask is for some time to figure things out.. ill get back to u by the end of day Tuesday with some info

Daniels response…. ok I just spoke with paypal and they asked me to have you, the seller, call them.. It sounds like they might be able to resolve the issue. I gave them the case number, they noted the case and asked for me to have you call them


So I called them and they had not talked to him as it is between the credit card company and me……so back to sending Mr Daniels a pm again….

Nsafellow sent….I just spoke to PayPal and they have no record of your call which does not matter at this point ....once again they stated that the case has been closed because the credit card company decided in favor of the card holder. What they said was they would help you make a payment to me for what was removed from my account by the credit card company.


So you just need to pay it back.

Daniels response…. weird that's not what they told me.. I don't feel rite about paying for something twice, that's only going to happen as a last resort... Ive done 1000,s of dollars worth of business with paypal so im hoping they are gonna make this rite.. or I wont do any more biz thru them.. im going to call them again rite now, can u give me the case number again pls, my folder was full and im only able to empty folder which erases all my pm's

Nsafellow sent ….. Well what is happening on this....we need to get this resolved.
It is not PayPal s fault. You are not paying for it twice the credit card company gave the money back to your mother after you used her card to buy it so you need to get yours from her. Just pay me the amount you owe. You already sold it so you have the money. I am the only one who has not been paid now.

Daniels response….. so when the credit company gave the money back to my mother do u think that went into my pocket? I am paying for this twice.. ill try to make a payment to u as soon as I sell some things here on az...

Out of pure frustration and after contacting the AZ Board on how to handle this situation this is what I sent to Mr. Daniels

Nsafellow sent …. I have been watching you sell your items and you have made no attempt to pay me back like you said you would.

So I am going to put up a posting about what happened and let the folks here on AZB decide if they want to do business with you or not. I have almost 90 trade to your 14 most of mine are higher dollar deals........and I always do what I say I will do.

I have all of the pm's that we have sent back and forth that I will be publishing in the posting so everyone can see how you are not dealing with what you owe me.

This may not be a big deal to you but to me it is just a case of being dishonest. You have admitted in writing what you did more than once and the folks at Paypal have the information for me and the Credit card company will give me the information because it was me that was accused of charging the card without permission. I have contacted them and they are sending me the information.

I will wait until Tuesday to publish this information. If I do not hear from you before then, I just have to do what I think is right.
And you my friend are wrong.

In no way do I want you to consider this a threat, I am just doing what I think is right and letting you know to give you a chance to rectify the issue. I do not want to see anyone else go through this as I have had to.

Well there you have it. You can see that he stated that he would pay me for the case but now he blames PayPal for taking the money. He does not understand that his illegal use of his mother’s card is the reason for this.

I do not think that anyone on this board wants to do business with someone who is being dishonest. This forum works on trust and honesty. I have tried to be that way with all of my dealings here. I expect no less from everyone else here.

So how are the good folks of AZB going to handle Mr Daniels in the future?

I guess we will see. I would not want to deal with him in any manner at all.

This has nothing to do with the dollar amount it has to do with the principle of being honest.

So you're out 80 plus the 20 plus the 200 for the case? That's not right, you're one of the good ones hope it works for you bud
 
I've dealt with daniels and nsafellow both before. Never had any issues with either of them. I didn't really bother to read the whole thing but...

Hopefully this gets resolved!
 
I ran into a situation like this once. I contacted paypal and opened a claim for
seller protection. Due to the fact the payment was received for a purchase and
I had sent the item with delivery confirmation right away to the buyers confirmed
shipping address, I was able to recoup the $ from paypal even though they (paypal)
lost the case with the credit card company. So many scammers out there.
At a minimum I think someone should start leaving links in Daniels selling listings
so potential buyers know what kind of person they are dealing with.
 
He did the same to me for a jacoby heavy hitter well after he received it and left positive feedback. I sent that info and screenshot to paypal and they said they'd add it to my case but didnt turn out in my favor
 
I never comment on on these bad deal threads but this is downright
disgusting. It's Mr.Daniels fault all this has transpired with his use of
his mother's credit card. I hope you recoup the money you're out of.
And thanks for letting us know how dishonest Mr.Daniels is!
 
i delat with him before and he payed with his credit card through paypal..and a month later paypal retracted the funds from my account because he said he did not authorize the transaction..but little did he know i save/keep documents of emails of things that i sell..so after another week of my proof to paypal i got my money back
 
Wow, what a fuknut. Add another one to the Don't Deal With list folks. Unbelievable over a cheap case. That "single dad" is certainly setting a great example for his kids. Nice track record he has here. Sorry for your plight but thanks for the heads up.
 
How does this guy figure he's paying twice for it?I would of smashed a hole in my
wall trying to solve a issue with a guy who is clearly scamming.Its not even
my dealings but felt completely annoyed reading his responses.Goodluck to you.

This has been going on since Feb (over 5 months)? You, sir, must have a superhuman amount of restraint. If it was a simple mistake, you'd think a decent person would be tripping all over themself to get to the post office and get a check or postal m.o. mailed out to you.
 
I see some confusion in this thread - there is a AZB member that goes by daniel (who seems a fine fellow to me) and there is another that goes by daniels - the slug being discussed in this thread. Please don't confuse the two.

Plus 3+ (I think) for no issues with NSA. Several deals with no issues!
 
Probably a hassle, but........if you used the USPS to ship the case to him, file a mail fraud case against him with your local postmaster, be VERY detailed, and include as much documentation that you can. He's as much as admitted in the email/PM correspondences as to the fraud. Since it was an internet transaction, contact the US Secret Service and file a complaint with them, again, being as detailed as possible. Explain that he has a pattern of using his mother's credit card without authorization of the card holder to defraud people of goods and services. Reference this thread as an example, since others have spoken up as to being defrauded by him as well. If his mother later turns around and states he had authorization, she is now culpable of conspiracy to commit fraud.

I realize that you said it wasn't about the money, but the principal....well, be prepared to go the mile, so to speak. Woe anyone that ever tries to pull that crap with me....I'm an excellent cage-rattler!!

daniels........you are nothing more than a low-life scammer!! Here's a thought...why don't you actually try EARNING that which you are actually stealing. IMHO, you need to be banned from this site.
