Ball set ID

These balls came with a used table from a pool shop. The box might not be matching the balls. Trying to figure out if the are Chinese import balls or Aramith premier and if they are worth keeping/using.

Thanks
Wayne

Kind of a vague exchange, without knowing the user intent.

They look perfectly usable, as you mentioned, not a high-end set.

If you are going to be playing organized competition Id suggest getting something closer to what would be used in a pool room.

For home/ kids/ bi-annual players, they are fine. I wouldnt get rid of them. Can never have enough balls.

If box is tell, I would guess Chinese. Do they roll OK, when not use. If you look on e-bay 2-1/4". Pool Balls Set you will see box, they cost 20 -30 bucks.

If the roll ok, when not use em?

I'm not sure they look right for Aramith. The shine just isn't there. But I only have personal experience with the Aramith super pro sets, which are supposed to be a higher polish than their lower tier sets.

You can get a nice used set of Super Pros or Centennials for around $100 if you keep your eyes open

I would just clean, polish, and play. Then later on buy a new set of Aramith balls. Buying used will give you the same problem..... are they really Aramith balls? Or did someone keep the Aramith balls, and sell you the knock offs in an Aramith box. Buy new and you are assured you are getting what you pay for.

I got these, seem much nicer. Thanks for the advice.

The old set looks like it would be fine if you have kids playing on the table. Try some Aramith polish on them.

The old box is actually the old Aramith design -- from about 15(?) years ago -- but it has recently been copied by the Chinese knock-off manufacturers. The new Aramith box is seriously logoed as you see with your new set.
