Bandido's cues

Mr Reyes...

I was wondering if Jack did that case or not. He really outdid himself with this one!! I am not normally a 'skull' kinda gal...hehehehe....but I gotta say 'Wowee, zowee, that cue and case combo is stellar.

I am beginning to think you might could pull off a 'unicorn' cue no problem...now if I could just figure out how fund it!! :-)
Seriously tho'...if I can find where we stashed the scan of my hubby's unicorn artwork, which is incidentally tatted on my shoulder....well, it's not a 'girly' unicorn, to be sure...hehehe.

Really, quite stunning work you are doing...scary to think it will likely only get better and better. Thanks so much for the reply!!!

Well...lo and behold, I was able to locate the original scan. Mind you, he edited out the pegasus for the tat, but this is the full blown original.

This is the first time I have shown this since I had a website showcasing his artwork years ago and some gal started stealing his work and selling as flash to tattoo parlors...that was just awful.

Great artwork Lisa. There are 2 ways to do this artwork on your cue. Scrimshaw (like the "Torture" break cue joint skulls) or carved then scrim for the details (like the "Torture" playing cue joint). It can also be done in color, I'll post a current project (Kintaro) pics. Looks like an exciting project to embark on.

I know what you mean about the artwork piracy as I've fallen victim to such. It really ticks me off when duplicated without premission but is flattering when permission is asked.

One of the first cues that I did the schrimsaw on and is 1 of 3 in the "Tribal Dragon" series. The forearm is a mix of butterfly splice and flat inlay. This is cue #17 of year 2000 and was completed in June hence the serial number on the cue, 06/2000-17, after the signature. This cue came back for an upgrade to caramel colored lizard wrap.

Thanks so much for the reply, Mr Reyes. I will ponder which way I would like to go with this, and how I would like the rest of the cue to look, and then I will PM you.

Hey, how can I forget that. Here's another one that came back for wrap replacement to lizard skin. It sure is popular in Japan. Cue # 12/2001-32

Kintaro

Hey Lisa,
Here's the butt sleeve of the current project, Kintaro, that I mentioned previously. It's carved ivory then schrimsawed for detail. You will also see the penciled index marks (not cracks) and the threads to thread it onto the butt sleeve tenon of the cue.

Could be, just add a base but it's not heavy enough to keep the flower from tipping it over. :p

Yup, it's got a full length thread to thread it onto the butt sleeve tenon. Thanks Joey. :D
