Barioni Tips

his tips

They look ok and it looks like he has done some testing.

The only reason I posted the link is was wrong for us to guess at his prices.

I bought some Barioni tips, after seeing they were for sale on a post in this forum.

John posted a tracking number when they shipped and had absolutely no problems.

The tips were well worth the price. I ordered some a little on the harder side (76 to 78 Shore D), but have had no problems with them.

They installed easily and were easy to shape. No problems with over mushrooming.

I would buy some more if the need came up.

At least im getting some positive feed back from people that actually know what there talking about and are trying to help. not just from forum trolls lol. Keep the opinions coming guys:thumbup:

Barioni tips

I have played with them for the last two years and just ordered some more. The super grips are fantastic. They are a little harder, but they grab so well you will not even notice. They never mushroom or lose shape. Mine lasted almost a year with playing one to two hours every day. Jon will tell you to scuff them more than I do, but I rarely have a miscue and those are from bad form. The moori the other guy is using mushrooms after a week of play. I really don't like those after using Jon's tips. I play with his cue too and the only reason you don't have tons of people on the forum talking about them is because he doesn't sell them for one to four hundred dollars. Best cue and tips I have ever played with. Highly recommend all of his stuff. Check out the web site and give him a call. He is usually available, but if not you will get a call back quickly. Have you ever been able to talk directly to these production cue builders? I have always had to go through a third party.

Interesting feedback about his tips, thanks even though this is one of my older threads. I now make my own tips and am enjoying them extremely well, but in the future if I feel like jumping on the layered tip wagon agin I may try them out as I like harder tips.

Altho Mr.Barioni and I had a small run in here, nothing serious other than I made a few negative remarks re his shaft slamming machine.
Oooops, I did it again. See how I am.

I have seen one of his cues in person and I will say that they are well built and a good looking cue. The owner has been playing with it steady for some time now and is completely happy with it.

I did re tip one of his shafts and I like his custom wood ferrules. Functional as any wood ferrule and very pretty.

I guess if the quality of his custom cues are indicative of the tips that he makes, then you probably wouldn't do yourself any harm in trying one. He hasn't let anyone in on his secret for building shafts but he seems to know what it takes to build a LD shaft, test it out and match it with one of his custom tips. He doesn't seem like he would be raving about his tips if they didn't work properly.
People would try one and find out they don't like them pretty quick.

The owner is very picky about his equipment and thats an understatement. It took him a bit of time before he trusted me doing any work for him. If he didn't like the LD shafts, he wouldn't be using them, period.

I did change one of his tips out but there was a reason for it. Damn old age memory and I can't remember why now.
But Kevin is still using one shaft with his custom tip on it.
I remember now. Kev uses one hardness for the bar table and one for the 9 footer. It wasn't because he wasn't happy with the tip, he just needed another hardness on one shaft.

Thats about all I can say. Hope it helps a bit.

had one of his double tips on my playing shaft for over a year. Loved it

Did you seriously do a search for this thread from 7 months ago to post that lol? Sorry...I think it is *sshole Wednesday for me, I'll tone it down starting now.
