I was at Barry's shop when he was cutting the gold inlays. Wow, what a one of a kind cue. good luck with the sale and if i hit the lottery before it sells, ill check back with you.

do you want to buy one 2 times as fancy as this cue for 15000 rosewood into rosaewood

I was in Barry's shop right after he had sprayed the first coat of finish. I always wondered how this cue turned out.

$30K really??

I know this is valuable..but $30K really? the last fancy gus szamboti i saw was made for steve mizerak went for $25K and in terms of collecting seem to have more history than the hawaiian brian's b.zam

even the last fancy balabushka when for $20K but didn't hit the reserve price.

So the question is how do you really determine what the market value is for something above $20K?

GOLD inlays?

i would have to agree. 30k is alot for any cue, and i'm not convinced this one qualifies for that kind of price.
good luck.

Let the guy sell his cue, gesh. If you aint buying, you aint replying, lol. Except compliments.

Geesh....brutal lack of rudimentary reading skills here.

Alton, that's a sweet cue :) If you get the chance, please show us some of the other neat stuff they have in the vault there.

Beautiful Cue

This is a truly stunning cue. As the old saying goes "pictures do not do it justice". Good luck with the sale, someone will end up with something special. Aloha

Sure Sean.....How's these TADs........
Thanks for all the post.....everyone....
My thoughts are: There are different catagories of cue collecting..
There are 1. Famous Cuemakers 2. Celebirty Cues 3. Theme Cues (Like P.Motty's Ivory Handled- Marine Life Cue, Butterfly Cue, Horse Racing Cue...) and Fantacy Cues(McDermott's)stuff that are not really usable.
This cue would be one of Barry's rarer cues. Yes, Rarer than his 6 and 8 Point Cues. The ultimate Barry cue is his "Tribute To My Dad" Cue.....IMO

Agree!

The cue is a awesome example of Barry's work.
Not many cues by Barry to go around so maybe someone will make an offer that cannot be refused.

Good luck with the sale,
Myron
