Recently i purchased 1 of Barry's cues. I had never hit with one but have heard many favorable compliments about his cues.
When i first got it, i hit some balls and put it away because i also bought a few other cues at the same time.
The other day i took it out of the case again and started playing with it.
The balance of the cue and the taper of the shafts are perfect. The points and veneers are all perfect. I could go on and on about this functional piece of art.
All the hype you hear about Szamboti's are true. This cue plays like a dream come true.
It has now become my main player which is saying a lot because of the other cues that i have hit with.
Thanks Barry for taking pride in your workmanship and keeping the Szamboti legacy going.
Barry's cue is the 1 on top. i don't even have to say anything about the Gus below. Like father like son.

Great review, Bob. There is just something magical about playing with a Szamboti, and Barry is truly a class act cuemaker and person !!

I have a picture of Barry runnig away from a bull in my pasture a few years ago when Barry could still move pretty good,I would offer to post but pics don't work for me

that is one pair, father & son. masters for sure. Deano, learn how to post pics please, so we all could see Barry running from the bull. that would be PRICELESS!!!!!!
 
Of all the cues I've had in my hands, a Barry Szamboti was the best playing of them all...and best looking too I suppose. :)
