In 1 pocket missing is often just fine, so long as you play pocket speed. If he'd play more pocket speed he would have at least two games that he turned over trying to do too much.
During the match someone named Cuetie in the chat mentioned that John uses CTE and that CTE stood for Can't Tell Exactly.
Now that's just funny.
John has much more to worry about than just his aiming. That much is very clear.
I'm shocked he still has a chance to pull out a victory.
Down 8-6 in 1p, Barton has no chance. Hilarious he would insist on a tight table with crummy mechanics like his. Sorta like filming a video about Kamui chalk and including a world beater miscue. Sorta like woofing up bets and declining "because my wife said no.". Sorta like generally being a narcissistic poster on AZB. Sorta like you get the point...
It looks like that table plays a little tough, and isn't kind to balls that are shot fast unless you hit it perfectly, and John just doesn't have the mechanics to do that.
He can aim, but his stroke is so bad that it doesn't much matter what he is actually aiming at.
At least one of you pro Pro One guys will say the truth. Nothing against John but he's not the poster boy for Pro One.
Who said that John is THE PRO ONE poster boy??
John went through a PRO ONE course just 4/5 weeks ago. Anyone that keeps up with CTE clearly knows that CTE proficiency is not gained in 30 days. However, John is doing fine so far but he is only SCRATCHING THE SURFACE of what I presented him at this point. Having said that, he had the desire to learn the system and is well on his way to being an improved player.
John is a MAN out there. Do not think for one minute that Lou can not play. He is a heck of a player with a ton of seasoning. I tip my hat to John and Lou For putting it out there.
Keep in mind that CTE is visual and JOHN will continue to get stronger with CTE. And his stroke is stronger and most likely holds up better than many that have criticized him.
John is promoting the choice of learning aiming systems if one chooses to do so without being heckled by those that do not like them.

Stan, I love ya. And I know you recently gave John some lessons, and I know how that feels to have a student watched closely. What John is doing is a result of NOT studiously applying those lessons. Sure, it takes time to ingrain new habits, but for that kind of money, one would think you would make sure that you carefully apply everything you know. He isn't doing that. He reverted back to his old ways way too often.
Honestly, his stroke is just awful on a lot of shots. Stick and whole body flying all over the place. I know most won't, but I actually look at it as a good testament to pro 1 that he made some of the shots that he did, despite his poor stroking! I feel that using CTE on the banks is the only thing that even kept John in the game. He made a bunch of good banks.
Quite frankly, Lou really surprised me. For a person with his qualifications, he missed some very routine shots that never should have been missed. (CTE would really benefit him, despite his thoughts on it) And, he made some really bone-headed moves that cost him every game he lost. ??? (edit: some of them were so bad that if he wasn't winning anyways, it would be hard to argue that he wasn't dumping!) Maybe he was just worn out and couldn't think straight anymore.??? He had the chance to blow JB out of the water, and kept giving it back to him, now it's close. Not close enough, but way closer than it should have been.
