If the ustream app on ipad would work for TAR matches they would sell at least one more ticket. TAR have you contacted ustream about this glitch? I know I have and no reply.

Looks like daz is gonna finish up 10 games ahead tonight unless chris catches fire.

Our PPV matches are not streamed on Ustream.

People with Android phones were able to see the free US Open 10 Ball stream on the ustream app so I am guessing the reason Apple users could not has something to do with Apple.

Apple no stream

Apple products don't support "Flash" that is why you can't get the stream on i-phone or i-pad, it's i-bad.

i believe the things you put on ustream do work on the iphone app for ustream.. i've used it before and it works.

The issue is with the ppv matches, unless you do it on Ustream (impossible for ppv), it won't show up on iphones because of the no flash support.

There is a solution if you're technical minded. For users who do not wear buddy holly glasses, this is gonna be a little daunting and probably isn't worth it.

In a nutshell - some video streams are shown via flash, which apple has officially written off. So iphones and ipads can't view those streams. But it's possible to install flash via an unlicensed 3rd party program. To do that though, your phone must be unlocked (jailbroken). Non-jailbroken phones will only use licensed apps that apple permits.

Jailbreaking the phone is not hard, but it carries some risk. The process varies depending on how new your phone is. From what I understand, apple has taken steps to prevent it with newer versions of their phone operating system. But you can roll your phone back to an older operating system and work around this.

Here's a link covering the risks of jailbreaking your iphone:

http://www.brighthub.com/mobile/iphone/articles/6279.aspx

The worst of them is that your iphone is ruined and unusable permanently, and you'll have to buy a replacement.

If you decide you want to give it go, here's instructions for downloading and installing the 3rd party safari flash plugin. Instructions for jailbreaking your phone and installing it are also here, but they appear dated. You may want to google for "jailbreak iphone" followed by your phone's OS version number. Try to find the most recent information possible.

Lot of risk just to watch pool on a screen where you probably be able to see the difference between the 1 and the 9. But I thought I'd throw it out there.

2 disclaimers I should throw in:
- no guarantee even after all this that the video will play. I doubt anyone is going to rush to do all this in the next 3 hours and then buy the TAR stream just to watch on their iphone. But just to be safe I'll say it. Flash is constantly updating and there various ways to implement flash video. I wouldn't even hazard a guess as to whether the tar stream (or a typical ustream) will play with the method above.

- this IS legal for those sweating it. It's your property and you can screw with it however you want, including bashing it with a hammer. But it does void the warranty, and technically your monthly service could be terminated too. I don't think that's likely but everyone should know the risks. I know people who have done it successfully and are happy with the results.

Bartram making great comeback and is up 87, 81 with daz in line for a slightly tricky out.

from -12 to +6, that's a nasty swing. Daz went to sleep for too long.

I went to sleep around 1:30 and Daz was making a come back.

Glad my horse pulled it together and won the cheese.

I have the Ustream Viewer on the iPhone but couldn't even find the Tarshow US 10-ball. I'm pretty sure Tina Pawloski said she could watch Ustream over her iPhone.

Maybe I dreamt it but I thought I read somewhere that the streamer has to do something (relatively simple?) to allow iPhone users to watch. I was able to find Lenny's, so maybe he knows.

Fred <~~~ of course, finding Lenny's stream was different than viewing it

It may be that you type the exact address to the tar stream into the safari browser, or maybe the viewer?
