I had the opportunity to spend a couple hours in the basement recently and try out a Black Label Diamond. It was gloriously amazing. Of particular note, the table played longer than any diamond I have ever touched...and the cloth was not brand new.

Coming from my stock, old, slow gold crown, it took a bit of getting used to, but once my pucker relaxed, I had the most fun on a pool table I have had in a long time.

I played 15b rotation and had quite a few runs past the 10b, but only once was I able to run the whole rack. Played some 10b too and stats were better there...largely thanks to the clues left behind by one james aranas.

I am moving in. Not asking.

I have a GC1 in my basement. I would like to upgrade the rails so it plays perfect but it’s would still be a bit beat looking, old commercial table. I’d like one of those fancy Diamonds in black.

Damn, I wish I had a basement. Half as nice as that one would still be really nice.
Is the black label new from Diamond?
Does it play more like a GC?

Now, B-B, that's not just "the basement," it's Roy's Basement, site of profuse pool poking.

[Maybe Roy will have you back for a run with Aranas. Do you cycle with Roy?]

Honestly, it played very much like the rkc and Mark Gregory gold crowns ive had the pleasure to defile.

Sure seems so, sir. ;-)

Not sure I want to play rack boy for DD, but why would I say no to that? I am currently interviewing backers.

No riding yet but sure it will happen when the sun comes out around here again. Had a couple nice mtb rides recently, but riding on ice or mud can only be tolerated in small amounts.

I have a GC 4 at home. I returned to my home after playing on that diamond and said horrible and mean things to my table.

Then I felt bad the next day and bought it some new advesive spots.

Are the rails a new design? Or it played longer for some other reason? How about the bounce level? Did it seem closer to a GC or closer to a Blue label diamond?

Edit: Or was it all in your head? :):):)
