Show me a player who takes breaks when he's on a roll and then I'll believe you about them being only human. I've been there in the pro arena for a few decades. A break is taken at a strategic time, and very rarely is it because they really have to go and can't wait. Back when we could only take one break each per match, we took it when we needed to mentally regroup for ourselves. And if we did get in that position where we really had to go, and we already took our break, we could ask for an emergency break and would usually get it. But THAT WAS RARE.People tend to forget these guys are humans too. Most people see them on streams. When the camera isn’t on them they are regular dudes. They can drink most under the table.
If you’re a smoker then you may see them come out and join you.
They did start off from a pool hall afterall.
Fedor may break that mold. Admittedly a tournament only player. He’s at his best there. Not really a heads up gambling player. This from Rogan’s interview.
He doesn’t do drugs for those insinuating it. The players get drug tested. Rogan was trying to convince him to smoke weed and play.![]()
How many times do these top notch players need to mentally regroup in one match? Are they that mentally weak? They can't withstand the time it takes to run a commercial break?
