BCM review

Think from what Bryan said he went above and beyond the Call of Duty.... ;)

I don't think so and I don't think Bryan does either judging from his post. He did the right thing by one of his customers which is all you can ask.
Had the cue been used then I would definitely say he went above and beyond. But it was brand new and he treated David just like he bought it directly from him.

Bruce is referring to the fact that Bryan posted up, accepted the responsibility, explained the situation.

If that is what Bruce meant then I agree.
I thought he was referring to Bryan making the replacements.

I was referring to what he did, and tried to do to make the customer happy. Who was not his customer. It was purchased apparently through a Third Party, who referred the PROBLEM to Bryan.... ;)

I think that was a pretty responsible thing bryan did responding to the original post. Knowing he posts on here, I figured it was only a matter of time before he stepped in. I dont think any party is to fault, it was just a bad situation to begin with, but its cool how DC didnt mind the wait and Bryan tried to make good.

Thank you again Bryan. And once again I hope you didn't take offense to my posting of this information. I appreciate how you handled the problem and meant it when I said that I am still considering you for my next custom cue purchase. I think that sometimes things can just go wrong, as in this case, and the more you try to fix it the worse it gets. Happens all the time in my field, and I hold no ill feelings toward you. I think you honestly tried your best to make it right, and that's all I can ask of anyone. Keep up the good work.............

Peace,
~DC

I Have Owned A ****ing Thousand Cues Or So. Southwest, motteys, whites,,,,etc. You Get The Idea. Brians Work Is Exceptional. There Is No Way The Warpage Issue That You Contest Can Be Completly Accurate. You Remind Me Of A Guy That Needs To Go To The Local Billiard Store And Buy Yourself 1 Of Those Real Nice Vikings Or Mcdermotts , Roll It First And Shut The **** Up!!!

I have owned hundreds of cues (still do, in fact), but never a BCM. However, I would not hesitate to purchase a cue from a cuemaker who would stand up like this gentleman did. Never met the man and don't know anything about his cues, but I think I will look him up at the next Expo or Derby City Classic, etc. This shows a lot of character, IMHO.

What I am about to say does not refer to this issue, but is rather a statement/question in general.

Have you ever noticed how one or two bad instances can really be picked up on by folks and the hundreds of good deeds/transactions can be overlooked? Every person out there shooting pool has his/her on opinion as to who makes the best cue, etc....all too many are eager to tell you about his sister's brother-in-law's cousin who had an uncle who had a crappy cue made by Mr World's Best Cuemaker, so that man's cues are overpriced junk....and folks eat this crap up!!

"the evil men do lives after them...the good is oft' interred with their bones" or something like that.

Good one. Witty.

As Tokyo-Dave points out, cues are largely a word-of-mouth business. Crawdaddio said up front that his intention wasn't to sling mud, then shared his experience in a way that let the readers come to their own conclusions. Also, he posted it on a public forum where Bryan is a member, giving Bryan the opportunity to respond. I don't see the problem.

Bryan responded like a gentleman and took responsibility for the warpage and delayed refund. What more can he do?

This thread could've turned into a Jerry Springer brawl, but the two people directly involved kept it civil. Too bad more threads weren't like this one.

I love my BCM

Got it from Lil Bukka... It plays great... No it is not currently for sale...
