given Monto's excellent rep, and the fact that you weren't home to receive the package he sent to you, he was owed all benefit of the doubt in this transaction.

you mentioned in this thread that you learned he had shipped the cue butt two days prior to your leaving for your extended trip out of country. Right then, you had an obligation to either make an arrangement with someone to receive this package or to notify the post office to hold your mail until your return.

I think it's patently unfair that you tarnished Monto's itrader rep over this. What exactly is it that you say he did wrong?

Get real, I wasn't going to pay their outrageous fees to make a phone call to the Us and i definitely wasn't going to call Thailand, who would i have called.

Any idea what it would have cost per minute to dial from Canada to the Us all over a $125 Brianna cue butt, i wasn't going to lose sleep over that one lol

There are no dings,wrap is perfect. no issues. it has wax or oil finish, same like Original South west satin cues have.
The butt has parabolic taper same like Southwest cues, as it has been made per specs of a satin southwest.

I just checked and it is working fine, the last tracking says it is already out of customs. You can log on to www.USPS.com and check it.

Was this butt insured? i don't live in the best neighborhood, i'm leaving tonight on a business trip and won't be back until sometime towards the end of next week. I'm hoping ups will not leave it, i can almost be assured that it won't be here when i come back.

I think this matter is over with right? Thank you very much Monto for giving us fair warning about the failures in this transaction and your experiece with this buyer. You'll either get your butt or the insurance money, so you're not going to be out the $$$. The transaction went south because of the ineptitude of the buyer and as much it makes him an idiot he's not a thief or a liar as you so boldly claimed at the beginning of this thread.

From your own postings it does sound that he's actually told the truth. All he needed to do was contact you after he got back. I don't understand why all of the communications before the transaction, but when something was wrong it went straight to dispute action, but that's really the only wrong doing here.

There's been a lot of slamming and name calling, when really the only bad action I see was filing a dispute before communicating with the seller to figure how to rectify the situation. He got a little panicky about the money and wanted to get it back as safely as possibly and make sure he wasn't out. It's not really the right move, and I can see people beating him up for it a bit, but I don't know if warrants some of the abuse he's taken.

I have no dog in this fight but I will say I've had numerous transactions with Monto as both a seller and buyer and he's top of my list. His communication has always been great, payments sent timely and he has always described his products with full honesty. He's a good man in my book and I have so much trust in dealing with him that I'd ship him something before payment was made.. Can't say that about too many others..

I'm sure that I am one of those infamous "people with too much time on their hands", but this was entertaining! I really enjoyed the scene in which shotmaker insulted sumtin4u about his username, stating that he is illiterate and is a "floriditiot". I must be illiterate as well because I cannot even pronounce that word! Kudos, shotmaker, for increasing my vocabulary and enlightening me as to how I should graciuosly handle altercations. I try to learn something every day.

Monto, thank you for being the ever vigilant AZer. Transactions of this nature are always risky. So, fore-warned is fore-armed. It is always nice to know that many of us are, in fact, "good neighbors", and are trying to look out for others.
It is such a helpless feeling when one is scammed out of their money. Good people do not deserve that. So again, thank you.
