Beautiful Ginacue For Sale

Has it been determined this cue is actually outside the country? One thing is for sure, anyone who would consider importing a cue with ivory into the States should have it in their hands before parting with any money.

I would like to know if the OP purchased the cue directly from Ernie and is therefore the original owner (with a bill of sale), or does this cue have an unknown provenance.

what i get from this thread is that it was on ebay last week and sold for 2300 and some change....listing was in california....he said deal went bad somehow...pics on ebay were same as listed in this thread...i am not sure just wanted all to be aware...new member who knows just be careful...

I live in the san fernando valley and i know ernie personaly i have played pool with him at house of billiards. So anybody can think what they want.

Okay, here is the bottom line.
1) You are new on AZBilliards and no known member is vouching for you as to know you.
2) You have 0 transactions here, and you are attempting to sell a cue for $2700.
This membership has seen numerous fraudsters come and go in the past that had the same background of #1 and #2 above.

It is not very likely you are going to be able to sell anything here unless you do one of the the following:

1) Transact through a well known member as an escrow agent where you ship the cue to the agent, while the buyer sends the money to the agent. When the agent receives both and determines it to be the legitimate Ernie in the pictures, then the agent transfers the money to you and the cue to the seller.

or

2)Transact through a well known member as an escrow agent where you ship the cue to the agent. When the agent receives the cue and determines it to be the legitimate Ernie in the pictures, then the seller pays you via Paypal or however agreed. Once it confirmed, the payment has been received by you, the escrow agent sends the cue to the buyer.

or

3) You send the cue to a reputable dealer here and let them sell it for you on commision and you get paid after they get paid.

4) You send the cue to a reputable dealer here and they inspect and purchase the cue to resell themselves and then they pay you.

Those are pretty much the options you have on here for now until you get some transactions under your belt.

If you are legitimate , WELCOME! My apologies for the lack of trust on my part. That comes from busting out over 30 scammers on eBay and getting their auctions shutdown before they scammed someone with their copied auctions or pics from the internet. You struck out on eBay for some reason, so you are definitely in our radar as well.

Do one of the above and prove your legitimate and everyone here will welcome you with open arms.

If anybody wants more info I could e-mail them my phone# I live in West Hills california 15 min from Ernies Shop if anybody is really intreasted I could bring it to him and have him give me invoice again if I don't find mine. Thank you.

if you dont use escrow i think your dead in the water here! Too many thins sound fishy to all, jmo

Escrow schmescrow. There are so many escrow scams that Craigslist now warns potential buyers that is the seller suggests escrow it PROBABLY is a scam.

If I wanted this cue (which I don't), I'd PayPal the guy with a credit card, if he doesn't send the cue, I'd dispute the charge with my credit card company and get my money back. Easy stuff, no muss, no fuss.

Thanks

Kevin

Actually, not all "out of the country on business" people are fishy.
I spend most of my time in China now. But you guys are right. You should always do the escrew regardless where you are.

You dont have to worry about this ,since you are well known and trusted.

This is exactly right. If the SELLER wants you to use HIS escrow "buddy".....red flag.

The buyer should always choose his own escrow.....and not JUST to nmake sure the cue is delivered, It's also to make the cue is REAL!!

If the seller delivers the product that was advertised and you receive it, you have no dispute with the credit card company. Use a "rusted" :D escrow service like Marcus, who knows cues.(as the buyer).

FYI- If the seller would use Marcus (Fast N Loose), If I was buying, I would be ok with that.

Its not just buddies. There are many websites popping up that are scam escrow services that look like legitimate companies. Myself, I never worry about it, I just use PayPal funded by a credit card and wait for the seller to satisfy me.

Just as an aside. I've never bought a cue online where the seller wasn't totally happy to take a return when I wasn't satisfied. Well actually there was one that peeped when I raised an objection to his description not matching what he sent me, but there was another buyer in the thread so I explained to that buyer what my objection was, which wasn't an issue for him, sold him the cue and bypassed any further discussion with the original seller.

The paypal thing is OK if your buying the cue but not selling.I sold something(not a cue) and even with a signature comfirmation the buyer filed thru PP and recieved a refund and KEPT the item.

I am told there are safe ways to do paypal transactions.I was not paypal savey and didnt do it the way I should have.If you use pp just do your homework like I should have.

That's interesting. Did you ship to a domestic address that showed as seller protection eligible?

Kevin

PS As an afterthought, lets not turn this seller's thread into a AZ PayPal debate. I was merely trying to point out if some buyer liked the cue at the price the seller was offering it the transaction could be done risk-free for the buyer. I'm a little familiar with PayPal and their policies as I process more than a million dollars a year through them. If you have a situation with them you don't understand, PM me and I'll help you sort out where it went wrong.

I know a few AZ'ers that can drive to San Fernando Valley and pick up the cue. I can do that as well but is 5 hours away. As long as the buyer pays for the gas I can do it.

Take a picture of the cue with todays newspaper, so we know that its in your possession, after that everything needs to be done with escrow, or blind trust.
